If wireless means compromising the quality then it's a bad invention

QUOTE(gundamalpha @ Mar 21 2009, 12:03 PM) If wireless means compromising the quality then it's a bad invention QUOTE(GamersFamilia @ Mar 21 2009, 05:19 PM) To be honest, i don't think there is a major difference between wired connection and wireless connection. I have my xbox 360 in wireless mode, and my ps3 in wired connection a few weeks back. I feel less lag when i was using the Xbox 360 rather than the PS3. There are a lot of factors that affect the 'quality ' of the internet connection. And definitely, being able to be connected to the internet wireless saves a lot of hassle. Well this is based on personal preference i believe, you wouldn't want to drag a 15meter long RJ-45 cable across the living room now would you? You would disagree, if your access point is close to the PS3 but as for me, my router is on the first floor while my PS3 is on the lower ground. So i reckon, going wireless is some sort of an alternative to wired connection as handling cables that might crumpled up together can lead to serious stress disorder, high blood pressure and insomnia as well. But then again i must say, wired connection is recommendable as no internet signal will be loss to the surrounding, and goes directly to the system. Added on March 21, 2009, 7:27 pm QUOTE(colt_508 @ Mar 21 2009, 05:26 PM) yalohh.. all you guys talking about wired and wireless... I dont really understand you, and i cant comprehend whether what you said was a statement or a question.but funny why a car can work smooth on "wireless mode" and juz need a "petrol" to work Anyhow, i hope this helps. Cars can be manufactured to work 'wirelessly'. Wireless, in my context of this discussion, is that it can navigate with the use of a remote control without the need of a driver. In relation with gaming, there is a team who managed to use a PSP to act as a wireless controller to control a Honda Civic on road. So, it is quite possible. CS 2006: PSP Acts As A Wireless Controller For A Civic. And a bit out of topic here, Mythbusters is working on a levitating, a more friendly way of saying "Flying" car. So whether it would work in near future, im not really sure, but im fond of the idea. This post has been edited by Kernkraft400: Mar 21 2009, 07:39 PM |

QUOTE(Kernkraft400 @ Mar 19 2009, 06:41 PM) Wireless connection here. PSN downstairs. Router upstairs. 95% signal. And disconnected from games rarely, but still disconnected when im in a midst of competitive battles I been disconnected before from Xbox Live, when the connection is too horribly lag, until time out occurs Iam never disconnected from xbox live to be honest. I think its a matter of service provider of the live service as well. XBL is more consistent than PSN if you ask me. No intention of bringing console war here. QUOTE(Mgsrulz @ Mar 19 2009, 09:45 PM) so far this week(and last week,i think) i've been getting no DCs at all depends on which shimmix IP u got, depends on area, each area got its own heaven and hell IP rangedunno why, sometimes it's damn good, sometimes it's horrible these 2 years more and more new IP range screamyx is bringing up, but only one or 2 range which is really good for me. Its really the IP lottery shit |
