6.5k rpm is n/a carby limit not the gearbox...correct me...
*
yes the engine is the limit....

ok... short ratio need to counter with engine rpm to get the speed...

660 boxes are too short... when using with EJ block with limitation of 6.5k rpm how could u get speed with 660 boxes?... hehehe
longer 1.0 box ratio can be solve since u has a badass torquey engine from LOW rpm......with 6.5k rpm speed in 4th gear u already above 160kmh smile.gif but with 660 box, 6k rpm in 5th gear just around 140-145kmh if i recall correctly lah.. now my kancil already auto.... hehehe

EJ, OR ED stock factory RPM redline are 6500rpm..but actually ecu were set 7k rpm how fast u can destroy an engine which are modded and running beyond the limit...? even in stock form the engine can be destroyed in a minute running way above the limit of the engine design itself... hehehe.. plus originally the engine was made for normal aspiration... taking boost into the account ... would set another risk into engine??....... if u sayang the engine u just done.. just dont over rev.. as u stil using stock EF-JL ecu.. would enable u to rev up to 9k rpm b4 revcut.... u need to control ...running over rev with stock internal made for n/a which just have 7k rpm limit..... u might burnt the new main bearing and conrod bearing or any rotating part maybe not able to take the stress of another 2k rpm with boost smile.gif.. plus u just put the oil jet.. are u sure stock oil pump pumping enough oil to all rotating part which need lubricant???

the reason there is performance internal part.. forged piston, crank balancing, hi performance main conrod thrust bearing..<--this one is in general.. smile.gif

Eh guys, I got a problem with my Kancil 850 timing ler.
When I bought the car 2nd hand, the idle is 2k RPM. Then when engine host enuf it will drop to about 1.1k RPM. Usually I see car's RPM at idle is 1k RPM so I send my Kancil to mechanic loh. The mechanic tried to adjust the timing lower but the car rattle so he adjusted back to the same RPM but just a bit lower.
When I drove back my car from mechanic, it was afternoon. At night when I start my car, the idle become 3K RPM!!! Even worse than before! So now I wanna ask what is the proper timing for Kancil 850? Do you think I should go back to the same mechanic and ask him to readjust or wait till next Monday to go to Perodua service centre?
*
check timing with timing torch/light.. erm... i guess quite normal if the rpm jump for morning start..

otherwise

check carb
check fuel filter
check distributor.

Hi,

Went to service my Kancil 850 Yr 2001 which has clocked 100000 km. Paid RM700 for the following:

Castrol 3 litre 10x30..........................................................RM40
Oil Filter............................................................................RM8
Autosol 2x1 litre 80x90 Gear Oil..........................................RM40
NGK Plugs.........................................................................RM14
UMW Front Brake Pad + Labour..........................................RM120
UMW Petrol Filter...............................................................RM12
FBK Rear Brake Shoe........................................................RM48
Rear Brake Pump...............................................................RM86
Repco Brake Oil.................................................................RM10
Fuel Tank Hose..................................................................RM24
Bosch Timing Belt, Bearing, Oil Seal + Labour......................RM260
Bando Fan, A/C Belt...........................................................RM24

What do you think? Could it be better?

Anything else I need to service or replace?

Thanks in advance.
*
overpriced at

UMW Front Brake Pad + Labour..........................................RM120
Bosch Timing Belt, Bearing, Oil Seal + Labour......................RM260

this is normal brakepad not performance one.. but onestep better than mintye lar... shud be around 50+labour usually rm15-20...
timing belt set came one set including bearing+oil seal... for normal perodua unit cost around 110+labour usually take only rm70-80

other are ok cheap... even rear brake pump also cheap.. .. reasonable.. otherwise normal workshop charging 55-65 each side..

1. There are many reason that can cause engine lack power,
      a) timing belt need to change every 80,000km according to perodua (but me change it after 120,000km)
      b) inlet/outlet valve need to adjust or change new valve.
      c) piston ring need to be change.
      d) air filter need change a new one.
2. Go to authorized Perodua Service Centre immediately and let them check, because this is very dengerous, because if some of them screw lose and fall out you might lost control of your front wheel! Your car might run to left or right and you are unable to control it!!! I have this problem before and Perodua Service Centre repair for me.
3. No idea.....ask Perodua Service Centre.

Thank you for everyone help.

The problem of lack of power solved already after replaced the actuator, i can feel the 'turbo' feeling right now.

Some technician told me the brake problem is due to the poor quality of brake pad, is it? but i just replace a new brake pad wor (rm 110).

Allignment cannot be fix because of the steering rack. im currently using original power steering rack L5 JBJL. Is it possible to repair or just change back to the normal steering rack without power steering?
*
L5 Caliper are big.. U need to use back L5 brake master pump to get enough pressure to each caliper

i have no problem with cheap L5 brake pad(mikuni, mintye below rm60 price)...

for rear i use L5 disc too...

here i enclose my L5 EFRL auto topspeed... smile.gif
