I know kelisa engine is very reliable.. I use one, but I never drive any L5 turbo before.. Just want some advice for those who used to drive both L5 turbo and Kelisa engine..
the reason I asked is it is much easier to get Kancil L5 rather than Kancil with 1000cc engine.. I surf at mudah, and there's only several of it and the choices are very limited..
btw, is turbo "hard" to maintain? I heard lots of negative stuffs about turbo maintenance.. sorry, but I never drive any turbos before..i knew a little .. i have kelisa chasis.. its damn fine... cant get vibration issue off that most kelisa face.. Perodua ori mount cost like 1.2k to get 3 pcs engine mount.. and kelisa original wiring failed me .. as alternator always kong-ed ... send to check wiring and no fault found.. hahaha end up with turbo engine at the moment to get whole wiring replaced...
stock kelisa engine in kelisa body oso can reach good FC.. why not in kancil body which is lighter..
and i also have kancil turbo .. which already went thru with a few phase of engine mod..

1st engine were stock one.. no need to mentioned here.. lotsa shud share same info in here..
2nd stock L2 engine manual... fuel efficient.. fast pikap..
3rd modded L2 engine.. go thru full overhaul from previous one.. change with SAGA1.3 piston.. 72mm.. bore up extra 4mm.. hi compression engine with hi boost td04-09 diesel .. running 1.5bar daily... endup blown...
4rd.. L2 rebuild from previous engine.. 73mm piston.. hi cam.. 2.bar .. 390cc injector replace main injcetor.. and 1x450cc extra injector.. fuel damn rich.. 80km like 20liter... hahaha beat that.. but satisfied.. twice went for nilai drag.. twice bring back medal ..
5th engine sold 4th...went back to stock one L2..
6th.. rebuild back 5th engine with 72mm low comp engine..really tough as running stock boost with stock turbine..
7th sold 6th engine and going for ef-rl L5 turbo engine auto... syiokkk auto

.. but the auto gearbox rosak after not taking care of it...overdue ATF.i guess.. .. hahaha..
8th .. same engine with 7th one.. but do top overhaul.. with change to manual gearbox back... getting roughly 330km for full tank town.. and my bro take hiway 460 km...
its not hard to maintain a turbocharged engine.. but sure u follows the schedule.. if keep the engine stock much better... if u already UP BOOST then only cost u extra money hahahamy kelisa turbo now clock 231xxxkm...
kancil turbo now clock 200xxxkm...
i guess no problem maintaining turbo engine..
