Yup, danger, the one where you did it as you got up, I was doing low light kicks as Cammy, but you managed to hit me before I could block.

Good game Darkstalker. Yea was wondering why I didnt get to see your Balrog cos I wanted to gain some experience with him. Let me know when you wanna spar again, I'm sure given the time, you will be much better.
Anyone else that wanna play for fun, just add me and PM for a few games. |

QUOTE(Darkstalker @ Mar 22 2009, 11:40 PM) Good games to Tristan, danger and lykiat. Yeah, I messed around with other characters when I see you trying out other characters. Good games. To anyone that was wondering (particularly lykiat) I didn't use Balrog today because earlier in training mode, I kept messing up my combos/links with him. So I thought, if I can't pull it off offline, I'm never gonna get it right online. So I decided to just try a few different characters. Akuma's lots of fun but I get hit too much to use him consistently. Bison's got awesome moves but I have zero combos with him besides mash light attacks and low kick -> scissors kick. And my Ryu is horrid. I have also made note of many things that I didn't know cause I'm still quite new to the game, but the one that stands out to me is the following: Fei Long's Ultra can come out fast enough to catch Cammy's low LK (wtf |

The easiest way to cross up is after a knockdown: just jump and press the button late.
If the guy's still standing, you have to know the range and keep the opponent's size in mind, cause if your jumping character touches the other guy, then you cannot go behind the guy but if you jump too far to the guy's back you won't hit either. I suggest going to practise mode and trying it out. Maybe start with Ken? His crossup's always been one of the easier ones to get. Blanka and Bison have easy ones to hit too, but their jumps are slightly different from most other characters. Both of them have MK also as their crossup attack. EDIT: To add, there're other ways to cross up. For instance, after a knockdown, you can do a Blanka ball just as the guy's getting up, so he has to guess whether he needs to block high or low. Bison has a similar one with his Head Stomp and Fuerte especially is going to give you nightmares over crossups with his body splash/throw/low kick shenanigans. Bison has a similar one with his Head Stomp and Fuerte especially is going to give you nightmares over crossups with his body splash/throw/low kick shenanigans. I thought for Blanka Ball it makes no difference whether you block high or block low. Irregardless you block high, low, left or right. Whether you're getting up or lying down, the Blanka Ball will just merely "langgar" your opponent or land on the other side. However it's risky because after the Blanka Ball stopped, you'll be left open for a while. Inviting Grabs, Pokes or your opponent Scratching Your Butt. IF you're looking to do a crossover with the Green Dude, either jump+MK (jump behind your opponent) or just LK+MK+HK over to the other side and do whatever you wanna do eg. Electric, Grab, Poke or Scratch Your Butt. |
