actually for me, main thing is i can't find N81Vp here... N81Vg got, but comes with GeForce GT 120M only... and close to SGG$2.2k...

I would definitely would love to buy from US especially if can DIY the specs and since they are much cheaper than in Malaysia.My friend's dv7 with 9600GT costs only US1.2k(around <RM4k) but in MY it costs 8-9k?

Complications would be the warranty and servicing...Some websites in US do provide 'DIY-ing' specs like HP.What about other websites?Asus?Sager?

try this company call Xotic PC.. they can do this for Sager, Asus and MSI.... got a few more OEMs which i forgot...

personally, i prefer Asus since they provide int'l warranty for 2 yrs....

Sager can, Asus i don't think so...yup, importing the lappy is cheaper, just like you said dv7 cost almost 9k here in malaysia but importing it online only cost less than 5k..maybe can get global warranty (hp), so can service it a service center in malaysia lor..

1 thing i like about xoticpc is they actually give us a real battery life span lor...so can just see how long actually the laptop can last with battery...some site(official one) always bluffing about battery life..haiz~~
