I'm currently deciding between 2 notebooks, and i need some help in choosing a winner. The 1st choice would be the benq s42, seeing that its so popular, i probably wouldnt have to list down the specs. and the 2nd is the newer lenovo y450 with these specs :

So, as you can see, i'm pretty much going for something which can handle the latest games in at least lower-mid details, have 14" screens and is not too pricey, both cost around the region of 3.5-3.7k. Hey, I am looking for some budget laptop, which try be around 2.5K, If not, it can up to 3k.

Brand: Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Dell, Lenovo
Processor: Intel C2D, AMD (If heat is not cons)
size: 14-15.4

The specs...I do not have the clear view on the specs as high specs need a lot of $$ so choosing specs would struggle me a lot.  Basically, it is for internet, movie, moderate game, CAD drawing, adobe flash, photoshop, programming...

i have these 2 in my mind

compaq CQ40-512AU for rm1.5k (offer in tesco till this wednesday)
Acer 4535 for rm1879 (with 2gb ram)

Its for light to moderate game(low end game of course)
wireless internet
college assignment

Im very inclined with that compaq since its very cheap and almost the same spec with the acer
Can the compaq install windows XP? how about heat management?
The acer one have a lot of area where heat can escape
