clock speed doesn't mean anything... especially when the 2 camps interpret stream architecture differently...

QUOTE(nobunaga84 @ Sep 9 2009, 12:19 AM) all got brainwashed... the bottleneck is at the FSB if u use Core 2 CPU... so unless u can overclock the CPU (which i doubt u will do so with laptop), using DDR2 is fine... in fact, with FSB running at 1066MHz, DDR2 533MHz also good enuf... |

actually it was my bad... i saw the review on Acer 5739, also using GT 240M, and remembered wrongly that it uses DDR2... in fact it's using DDR3...
but the benchmark for that particular review is pretty low iirc... approx. 5.8k 3D Mark 06 @ 1280x768 only... |

QUOTE(nam3le5s @ Sep 11 2009, 02:48 AM) Hi guys, BenQ S42, rm3399... got hybrid graphic to extend battery life... P8700 + GeForce 9600M GT + GMA X4500MHDHope you can recommend me a laptop based on the following specs: budget rm3.5k prefer 14" (15" will consider) dedicated graphics card (quite a bit of gaming and movies.. but mainly for business) lightweight and thin (portability is important) battery life of at least 4-5 solid hours I'm very confused but I'm leaning towards Asus U80V but was initially considering the Dell Studio 15. My fren telling me Asus > Dell anytime lol. and right now I'm thinking the towards the Asus U80V. Anyone know the price and where to best get it from? is it in stock? Lastly, is there any other laptop that can beat the U80V? Please provide the recommended prices n where to get them. THanks in advance.
