QUOTE(h a l o @ Sep 4 2009, 10:39 PM) plan to buy studio 15 through online and will customize it... i would say stick to 64-bit if u dun ve any special apps that confirm won't work in Vista x64...juz play dota and left 4 dead....... vista 32bit or 64bit better? will wireless network card affect the internet speed? besides the more RAM that u can use, Vista x64 is more secure and stable than Vista x86 as well... not to mention that drivers are so easy to find nowadays... i ve been using Vista x64 for more than a year and ve yet to encounter any problems or BSOD... |

QUOTE(Fantasia @ Sep 6 2009, 02:01 PM) by rit should be same performance lvl...but i think Asus gonna use DDR2 as frame buffer like Acer... so it's not going to be as good as HD4650 with DDR3... QUOTE(carbine @ Sep 6 2009, 03:11 PM) he said wnt to cash and carry.... since Dell sxps 16 need to place order 1st he dowan it... Dell Studio 15 available for cash and carry.... hardware wise, both U80V and F81Se are similar, except that U80V uses Intel chipset mobo and Intel wifi adapter (thus a shiny Centrino 2 sticker), while F81Se uses SiS chipset mobo and Atheros wifi adapter...The Asus U80V is better than Asus F81se meh? U80V has a smaller profile and lighter too... even have backlit keyboard... but at a costlier price tag also... both models are available with C2D T6500, P8600 and (i think) P8700 btw, if ur friend is interested in N51Vn, take note it's currently available for pre-order only... QUOTE(nobunaga84 @ Sep 8 2009, 07:33 PM) Brand: the best is ASUS model, other recommended model also can Dell Studio XPS 16, Sony Vaio FW, Asus N51Vn, BenQ Joybook S57Budget: About Rm5k, 5k+ a bit also can, max is 5.5k Specs: Optimized for gaming(Like AION, RA3 etc...) Size: 15" and above QUOTE(ellimistx99 @ Sep 8 2009, 08:22 PM) Hey there, I plan to buy a new laptop, would love some advice: Asus K40Ab... between this and Studio 15 (in terms of price), no other have decent spec at worthy price...1. Brand: Doesn't really matter 2. Budget: Around Rm 2700ish 3. Specs: Preferably Intel, but AMD is no prob, atleast 3GB's of ram, and a decent GFX card 4. Size: 14 inch (strict) I plan to play games like COD4, Company of Heroes, Red Alert 3, Supreme Commander. Being able to play these on medium would be great. Looked at the Acer 4736G. Looks great but apparently the GFX card is not great (is it ok for the ones i've listed). Heard about the Asus with the ATI HD4570, but was hoping to use up all of my 2700ish P.S: Also looked at the Dell Studio 1435, the 15 is perfect (has the GFX card) but is 15 inches |

QUOTE(nobunaga84 @ Sep 8 2009, 10:16 PM) I have do some comparison and found that i have 2 option now, Either Dell Studio XPS 16 or ASUS N51Vn. But, the problem is i cant find a direct description on ASUS N51Vn on their webpage but only ASUS N51Vf and ASUS N51Vg. (And plusses i cant find any prices on it at retailers. )If both of them is very close spec to ASUS N51Vn, then the rest is just to pick for computing faster or better memory( 1 is DDR2 1 is DDR3). I cant really decide. Any comments on this? Asus N51Vn: http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=Kx0iidC4cjnC0aKPfor price u can PM Perfect-Stranger... |
