Try the game on hard setting (Intel Q6600, 4GB RAM and Gfx 9600GT on a tiny 1024*768 resolution with full details on and uncapped framerate. 50-60 fps as normal framerate), with little ammo and health every end of the level makes it challenging and it actually feels good with the new co-op gameplay.
Still RE has changed since the first 3 sequels from being a slow-paced survival horror (like the first 3 Alone in the Dark series) to a action packed game (started since RE4 I believe). I kinda miss the old, slow and shambling zombie. Ever since the release of the movie 28 days, modern zombie is always capable of running and yelling at the same time. There are some thing I don't like about the game, especially the control. It feels quite sluggish and cumbersome (especially the combat scene even with fast mouse speed set to 8). Also the ever plague of cut-scene just break the immersion of the game. Why on Earth those Jap love cut-scene in their game for every 5 minutes with on screen 'action' button smashing bothers me. But the main beef I want to complain is the over-the-shoulder perspective view which eats up 1/4 of the screen. I can accept the idea of getting hit by an enemy in fps view because you can't see them but over-the-shoulder perspective is just ridiculous to me. Which is why the best recent most memorable survival horror I play is still Dead Space (I know it also features the over-the-shoulder perspective view). Quite simply because of the atmosphere and the voiceless of main character (just like Gordon Freeman of Half Life) and no all that bullshit cut scene. Not to mention in Dead Space you can blow off those pesky alien's limbs. This post has been edited by zioburosky13: Sep 20 2009, 02:31 AM |

Hm. I already beat this on Pro for my 360, but I might get it... again.
Any PC-exclusive features? |

the game designed for co-op, so wat problem with real-time inventory?
if u pause go in inventory, it will be irratating for ur partner to wait for u while u managing ur time and welcome to the world of internet i agree about the camera, the character too close to camera... hard to see atk from behind and side. |

QUOTE(cloudaeris @ Sep 20 2009, 04:52 PM) it's not like that, It's because it was designed for gamepads. If you use a gamepad, the inventory feels very natural.i understand the need for real time system for co op games with a player, it's not that i dun like it's real time, but it's not optimized, that's wht's bugging me, there r some small issues that i really hate bout it, yes they r small, but annoying |
