well for me, v-sync means the games fps fixed at 60 constant, for RE5.
60 fps constant is very smooth for me already.
eyes no see any different.

well yeah tearing happens quite often for me.
my resolution is 1280 x 1024

Resident Evil 5 Producer Won't Be Doing Resident Evil 6

user posted image
QUOTE
Like the sunrise, death and taxes, you betcha Japanese game developer is going to make the inevitable sequel to Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6. The game designer helming the project, however, is not so certain.

In February 2009, RE5 producer Jun Takeuchi said that Resident Evil 6 would be a reboot. Then, that July, Takeuchi stated it didn't seem as though he or fellow Resident Evil series vet Masachika Kawata would be in charge of the upcoming RE.

When Kotaku talked to Takeuchi later that year at the Tokyo Game Show, Takeuchi said that Capcom has not yet decided the producer for Resident Evil 6.

In a recent interview, Takeuchi once again confirmed that he certainly will not be doing RE6: "I'm not involved in Resident Evil 6. There's actually a number of things I want to do."

Like?

"If I say it like that, it might be taken as 'next game,' but before reaching the step of making a game, we — Japanese developers — have a lot of things that we must do. To begin, I have a number of things I'd like to do related to Capcom as a whole."

Oh. But, hey, Resident Evil 6!

True that ! I started RE5 for about 30 mins and I am already surrounded by 10 of these Majini (Infected Locals) + 1 executioner Majini (Big ass Axe Wielding dude).

Ok they removed auto aim which is still considered okay for me as I'm a heavy FPS gamer. But no run and gun? That's just preposterous! You expect me to get surrounded and stand still so I can use up my only remaining 10 bullets to kill 10++ majinis?

I was like "No prob! I'll use my knife! Should be 1-2 hitting them as its a melee weapon so it should be powerful..." But NO! I tried to cut em' for about 28937492374 times and they're still alive... great...

It's like giving you weapons of Silent hill 1 and put you into fighting koreans armed with nano suit in Crysis.

sorry for the rant. I just couldn't see the future of RE series as they steer away from the previous slow pace horror survival....

It's mine actually...I got surrounded @ the first level before the choppa blow the gate.. I did run around dodging them but I got frustrated. Coz I played all the earlier versions. It's a lot better that time. Why they steer towards this direction.

Personal problem is I use low sensitivity in FPS. like sensitivity 1.3 in CS. So I got almost the same in RE5. But wtf when you move around ur sensitivity is higher and when u standstill, ur sensitivity is a lot higher. This is really frustrating for me.

It's good that they decided to reboot.

As usual, us PC gamers get denied the good stuff:

QUOTE
Resident Evil 5 DLC Not Planned for PC

Capcom has "no plans for PC at this point" for the recently-announced Resident Evil 5 downloadable content or DLC-bundling 'Gold Edition,' a representative has told G4tv.

Scheduled for release on March 9, the Gold Edition of Capcom's action horror includes a prequel mission, a new episode and two costume packs--all of which will receive seperate releases as downloadable content. The Xbox 360's Gold Edition contains a download code for new content, while the PlayStation 3 version packs it onto a disc.

However, it would not be uncharacteristic for Capcom to release a PC edition later. Street Fighter 4 arrived on PC five months after its console release, as did Devil May Cry 4, and Resident Evil 5 was not announced for PC until two months after it hit consoles.

Its ok for me, but about d sensitivity of d mouse, its kinda a problem as it is not d same when in 3rd view n aiming mode....its nice to play chris but d ai, it really a damn nub n wasted ur ammo...u cant play hard mode with d ai, which ruins d fun, and worse, u can't play alone...muz find another player to join u...

playing co-op is nice, but wit d ai, it aint, i miss d day killing zombie alone..
still, d survivor thing is still inside re5 for hard mode, u need to run n save ammo n have some strategy....
if there arent re6, so it means it is d end for re series?

then the difficulty is the culprit ... coz I tend to play all games @ the hardest mode. I don't wanna complete them too fast...

and the truth is Resident Evil is always known for having shitty camera angle and control. It's a known fact since RE 1. But I didnt take this seriously coz from RE 1,2 & 3 (or perhaps 4 as well), they're all slow pace survival horror. Until RE 5 doh.gif when a headshot is not enuff to kill.

So it is wise for them to have a reboot. Which I hope is to steer away or back to the previous genre which is survival-horror rclxub.gif
