QUOTE(shootkk @ Mar 24 2009, 10:24 AM) What's missing? It's obvious lar.... the F58 has the cobra action and once you have felt it, you will miss it when it's not there. Honest! i think i need to try the cobra head then...stil don understand how does the head affects pic quality ....When I first got my F42, I did not feel that it was missing anything. It's a wonderful flash, don't get me wrong, but once the cobra came in, it was the fast switch from landscape to portrait orientation and back that will win you over without you knowing it. There were times when I was using the F42 that I wanted to push it to the side and then only did I realized how much I was using the cobra action and how natural it felt. The push button and twist action on the F42 felt like it was a bit odd and was slower to execute. That's what you would miss most! The F42 is a bit faster to adjust the flash power and zoom settings as there are 2 separate dedicated buttons for them and you just press either to scroll through the various settings. On the F58 you need to press 2 buttons before you get to switch the settings for either flash power or zoom. And of course the F58 looks big and intimidating and when you turn it sideways in front of some brand fanboys, it just adds to the cool factor!! since both head can face side front, top, .... |

actually i can bring sp90 and keep my 50mm 1.4....but usually i manual focus on sp90...so im afraid that i wont hav too much time to double check the photos for OOF..so to play safe..i'd bring 50mm...n further more..macro requires alots of patience and time..i doubt i'd have that kind of luxury to slowly find n bug....and slowly wait it to position itself nicely..lol
