Oh, it's not a big event thingy...just a gathering between the Min. Schnauzer owners and their furkids to come together and socialize, chit chat and stuff smile.gif Don't really know if there are any activities...I will most probably be there, but might be a little late. Are you going?

Hi PinkyShore! Do post up photos of Hero...smile.gif I'm sure he's a cutie! smile.gif

Actually, the restaurants mentioned are those that allow pets to sit with their owners inside. Don't think I've seen a restaurant that caters to pets just yet. laugh.gif

Hi, Rayne..
Can u add me in the list? cause i wish to go too...
*
Umm...I'm not exactly the organizer for the gathering smile.gif Winnie is, but everyone is encouraged to come to make it more fun! smile.gif The list is more like to see how many people are going...you don't necessarily have to be on the list to be able to come wink.gif Even if you have a friend who decided at 9am on Sunday to come to the gathering, they are all welcome! The more the merrier ma biggrin.gif

I'm fine with any date...preferably on a weekend smile.gif I personally think it's great if I can find a cafe where I can actually sit with Scottie and not being stared at like I just brought an alien into the cafe! Dining with my dogs has never been a problem with me smile.gif I can't really speak for other owners out there, but for me...it would be great to be able to dine with my pets around! biggrin.gif

Try not holding the treat too high up from where he's sitting...maybe you could also teach him to 'Wait' while you slowly bring the treat to his Down position. If he stands up, get him to sit again and say 'Wait'. Then lure him down with the treat...hope that helps!

dunno why Down is taking him so long to learn. he learnt sit and shake hand in a day  hmm.gif

Some tricks are easier to learn compared to others...it also depends on how we teach the pup. Inconsistencies might cause a bit of confusion at first, but eventually you'll get it when you've taught your dog more. smile.gif Right now, I think there will be some 'hiccups' as you train, because Ramses is still young, and he hasn't exactly grasped that what he's doing is actually learning...smile.gif

Hey, i got a question here. Does MS will change fur often?
i found my puffy's fur around the room ar...
thinking and planning bring her to do full grooming...
*
Actually, Schnauzers don't shed at all...or to be politically correct, they shed very little until it is not noticeable. Scottie only 'sheds' when I comb or brush his fur...kind of like when we comb our hair, there will be some falling out. Shedding so much until you can see around the room might be a different thing =\

I wish I got more photos of the other doggies too...but Scottie is too excited that day I guess. He keeps pulling me places and I got quite distracted. sad.gif Wish I could capture more of the gathering. I saw Jojo! She's so cute! Too bad you had to rush back...

i personally think that the salt n pepper actually changes colour along the way... ahahaha...

my Fatty started off as very black, then greyish... now brownish... ahahaha...

LOL! Actually Schnauzers' fur won't turn lighter in color if we hand strip them like in the confirmation shows. That was supposed to be the way their coats should be, but it's quite a long and tedious process, and not many people know how to do it in Malaysia (the ones that do are too expensive) hence we turn to clippers. Because we clip their coats (ie send to groomers where they shave with the electric clippers), it will cause the color to turn lighter in color.

Yup...hand stripped coats are harsher and a bit wiry in texture. I read that they last longer compared to clipped coats, meaning that after stripping once, it can last for about 3-4 months...compared to once a month grooming with clippers, it's quite good. smile.gif Wish it was cheaper to do it here though, and I KIND OF like Scottie's coat soft...haha! tongue.gif
