If possible, do not tie the tail. Go to the vet to dock it professionally. This will help with the tail "finishing", give a better clean cut.

LOL... I wouldnt say that using rubber band to dock the tail is cruel or anything. If you know the proper way, go ahead.
I find myself very lazy lately, in explaining stuff by typing. Everyone have own point of view and no worth of debating ^^ |
