Yes that is right. If it's not been activated, the bank will either keep sending you reminders to activate it or they will deactivate it.

It's not a rumour. It's a rule stipulated by BNM hence there's no way you be able to get a CC if you're below 21. In the past, it was still possible [I got my first supplementary card at the age of 14] but when my dad tried to get one for my sister, the rule had just taken into effect and he wasn't able to get her one till she was 18/21 (not sure which one!)

But there's nothing the banks can do if the person applying for it has not reached the age of 21.

You can always check with the bank what the requirements are to get the AF waived. If they can't offer you a waiver, it's really entirely up to you and ur dad to decide if you want to pay the RM600 p/year.

General online transaction? Meaning, transacting in foreign currency or local currency? If it's in foreign currency, I suggest you go for UOB because they don't charge additional 'service' fees when U do a foreign transaction, unlike the rest of the banks.

Requirement for Platinum is RM80k p/annum whereas Gold is RM36k p/annum.

Gold card doesn't seem v difficult to achieve. But am quite sure many will be able to get Platinum even if they don't meet the RM80k criteria.

Platinum cards can also be free. All my CCs are free with the exception of my Amex Platinum; there were reasons Y I took it up and paid the RM800 but I'm done with it and that's Y I'm trying to see what my next steps are. I believe I will continue using Amex as my primary card though - it's just a matter of preference that's all.

Are U allowed to use CC for payment even if U purchase 1 GSC ticket?! The last I recall, you need to have a minimum spent before GSC will allow U to pay via CC. Also, RM6.80 for a large pop corn + ice lemon tea set; how to pay via CC?!

Yes, normally you would need to contact the bank to activate your card. The process is different with all banks. You should have received instructions with your new CC ; check if you can find it

And if you're so-and-so's son, U probably oredi received that CC you're hoping to get Btw, why the need for this particular CC?! Does it really give you that much of fulfilment?
