@tgeoklin,
Ehm.... the days of pocket $ vanished about a decade ago ever since I joined the labour force !

@GHz,
No harm asking them to send you an invite, right?

@inuyasha88,
I don't believe there's a cooling period; as long as U meet the requirements U should be able to put in your application for another card. What I'm surprised is that SCB actually sent you ALL 3 character cards; which is normally not the norm.

I thought there's a rule we can only hold 1 Visa and 1 MasterCard from a bank at any one time.

@inuyasha88,
Best to check the actual requirement from the SCB website. I'm not too familiar biggrin.gif

@tgeoklin,
Ah well.. it is with hope you will use the card someday. In that case, just keep the card locked away somewhere biggrin.gif Or if Ur sure U aren't going to use the card and won't be able to resist temptation, then cut it off biggrin.gif

Out of sight, out of mind biggrin.gif

@mzaidi,
Yes that's right. If your allowance is a fixed allowance you should be able to include that in biggrin.gif

@MilesAndMore,
I can't find the information about the free laptop for new approved Amex applications.

GHz,
I don't really need a free laptop bag; still have about 2 brand new unused ones kept away but I do need the Gold Amex card *grins*

oK.. I'll just get my application filled in. RM50 in the first month isn't too difficult to spend; 1 petrol swipe would do the trick biggrin.gif

@MilesAndMore,
Thanks! I didn't go into the application form; and the information is there! *grrrr*

hMm.. the bag does look quite nice, but nothing compares to my good ol Crumpler biggrin.gif

@Reventon,
I'm just too far off the RM190,000 p/annum figure and the only reason I'm switching to the Gold Charge Card is because I don't want to incur the RM800 AF !!! sad.gif

G.. I just read... the Gold Charge card requires RM148,000 p/annum. I don't even qualify for that card !!! hAHahAHhaHAa... but am going to put in my application anyways biggrin.gif

@hye,
I pay my TM bills ahead of time too; more like when the bill comes, I just make payment almost immediately and I never ever received any rebates. How did U get it and what amounts of rebate are we talking about? biggrin.gif

@Secret_Garden,
I do not want to do an 'AutoPay'. I prefer to manually check my bills before making payment to TM biggrin.gif

@nokia2003,
Yes.. those points can even be used to offset air ticket charges biggrin.gif

Also, the CC by HSBC Premier in Australia is an actual World Mastercard category, which is higher than that of what's being offered here in MY.

@nokia2003,
Ah well.... my folks barely had enough to send me overseas, hence no spare cash to put $ in the banks! Anyhow back to the discussion on CC biggrin.gif

@cenkudu,
It shouldn't be a problem putting in a request for the supplementary card and the 2nd card at the same time. Also, the supplementary card should not affect your chance since it's usually a combined CL biggrin.gif
