Just start my workout, got some questions i want to ask also.

1) I lift at least 3 times a week, rest a day between my workout. My workout routine is biceps, triceps, back and abs on 1st day. 2nd day is shoulder, chest, traps, and abs. Keep cycle with a day rest between. And i do it with my own dumbell set, because no time and money for gym membership. On rest day, i jogged for 20min. But just found out that HIIT is good for burning fat, so i want to try it tomorrow.  Need correction for my routine?

2) My diet:

5:30am 1st thing in the morning: Instant Oat, a hard boiled egg, and Fish oil.

9am Morning: Bread or Pau, and Milk

12pm Noon : Homemade lunchbox (Random everyday)

4pm Evening : Crackers + Peanut Butter

7pm Night: Dinner at home (Random everyday)

9:30pm Before Sleep: Milk

I also drink 2 scoops of whey post workout.

I weight 86kg, 173cm, and got 25% of BF. shocking.gif  shocking.gif  I want to cut off my fats so i need some help for my routine and diet. Hope you guys can help me.  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif  Thx. notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

Where are the legs? =/ Don't neglect muscle groups. And yes, HIIT is good for fat-loss.

Hi,

Would cheese slices be fine? The square ones we get at supermarkets. If so, how many slices per day?

Sorry for the ignorance but where can I get whey? I'm totally illiterate when it comes to health.
*
Whey, as in protein powder. You can get it at most fitness stores. Cheaper alternatives are from this forum, and some local websites, if I'm not mistaken.

I use barbell bench presses for warming up on chest days. Only dumbbells for worksets though.

I do barbell bench presses at times to give myself a little motivation by lifting slightly heavier than before. Even though it isn't much. blush.gif

Tried benching 70kg today. Managed 5 reps, but failed the 6th rep. I had to roll the bar on my stomach onto my legs cause there was nobody in the gym then. >_> Good thing I had just enough strength left in me to do that. I don't think I'll be repeating that. unsure.gif

Shit. I've been through that. I had to roll a damn 100 kilo of my chest about... 5 years ago. Lol! I could hear the bar grinding against my ribs. That sucked man.

That was my third set. =P
*
I'm a lucky ******* the bar didn't roll onto my neck. shocking.gif

Awesome DB presses too. brows.gif

What is the difference between rotating the dumbells while going down and not doing it?
*
I think it's a matter of preference? There could be an actual reason behind it, though. I'm not sure. =/

There's only maybe two or three guys who frequent my gym who actually look like they know what they're doing. Nearly everyone else just comes in, does a few sit ups, some bicep curls with terrible form and some bench presses before walking out smugly with the 'now I've done that, I'm fit' look on their faces. doh.gif

I never, or at least try not to neglect any muscle groups. icon_idea.gif Lots of stuff to do for triceps, and I see people only doing cable pulldowns. shakehead.gif

Heh, we'll have to see about that. laugh.gif

I'm hoping I have it in my genes to grow a bit taller, though. xD My dad's 5'11", which is a pretty ideal height to me. So, yeah. =x

And, also. 3 posts with back double bi's in a row. thumbup.gif

hmmm... i think next time im gonna attempt 140kgs after 5x70kgs for warming up..and a good stretch..

oh yea... definitely bringing my belt this time... dem... that last 120kgs.... my hams could barely support the negative part of it...shaiiiiiiites.....

tomorrow i aint gonna walk.. oh yea..before the dead lifts i did 5x 40kg squats and 2x50kg squats....

nothing great i know..but consider that i had to clean those damn weights up on my shoulder before each set...aih... fatiguing.....

oh yea.. and i did 5 full pullups after each 2 sets of squats...

demmmmmmm..........

next time im gonna up the intensity....wanna time myself...reduce waiting time... after the 120kgs ..aih..had to take a short break....

my legs were vibrating........ O_O
*
After leg days, my legs don't vibrate or anything, they just go numb. sweat.gif Awesome feeling, though. =x

If you can finish all your exercises with no energy remaining that's the best  nod.gif  but I've yet to experience this before  wink.gif

I can only afford to completely exhaust myself on days where I don't have much schoolwork to do after gym sessions. blush.gif

jon, where u check ur BF?

question : i saw 1 guy doing dumbell shrug rotating his shoulder... it is not adviceable to rotate rite? if i am not mistaken...
*
Rotating the shoulders while performing shrugs will do something to the rotator cuff if I'm not mistaken. So, it's not a good idea to rotate.

Guys, what will ur reaction if someone takes out an egg & shells it in front of u & pops it into his mouth, or take out his tupperwares, mix his water & powder & shake2.
*
I don't see a need for any fancy reactions to that.

were you kind enough to tell them why? what did you say?
*
Last time I tried, they claimed they'd never grow taller if they train anything other than biceps or chest. And also said they'd look ugly with big legs.

I mean, seriously, as if chicken legs look good in any way. sweat.gif doh.gif

Got a silly question. Does workout at young age will sustain height growing?

Only if you do things with incorrect or potentially dangerous technique or form.

My friend said that dumbell exercise will result in shorter height due to the force acting downwards? Help needed.

Ask your friend to explain Arnold Schwarzeneggar, who started bodybuilding in his teens.
