I'm not big, but I do if they get on my nerves.

And apparently, the Sg Long clubhouse gym is undergoing some renovations to expand the place by another room. *prays for a power rack and more weight plates* drool.gif

Shit, I think I did something to my shoulder today. On the last set of incline DB benches, my right shoulder 'popped' or 'clicked or whatever. Hurts when I move my arm to a certain point. Hopefully its nothing serious. =/

Was wondering if anyone's tried 10x10 for barbell curls. blush.gif

Did it for my biceps workout yesterday and booooyyy did it burn. Got a great pump too. Though, I only had strength for 3 sets of concentration curls after it. My biceps are hurtin' like a beech today. sweat.gif

I love pullovers. Do them every once in a while for my chest days.

Don't fancy upright rows too much though.

Whey for post-workout and prebed. Try to eat as much real food as I can the rest of the time. xP

Hi guys......got a question to ask....recently i went to a friend's hse. I saw there's something like a "pull-up" bar attached to the door. Do u know what izzit called? where i can get these? at how much?

I can use that to do some light exercise while staying at home instead of looking like a complete potato couch.
*
It's called a pull-up bar. laugh.gif

Most fitness stores should sell them, try Fitness Concept.

hey dudes
i've googled enough but could not find the best answer to this

im aware of the basic functions of l-glutamine and creatine, but when's the best time to take them and how?

i've read in sites including bb.com by big cat and shaun lebrun

for creatine, i've read that if your goal is strength during training, one should take it pre-workout whereas muscle mass as a goal requires taking it post workout...but i've read somewhere that it should also be consumed upon rising and/or before bedtime

as for glutamine, some say that it should be consumed upon waking up, before bed and post workout

my question is, lets say after workout we wanna consume whey protein due to the muscles in the anabolic state
so we consume whey + glutamine + creatine?
or?

and like upon waking up, usually i take casein or whey
so whey/casein + glutamine + creatine or?

they also talk on insulin spikes like taking creatine/glutamine efficiently with simple carbs drinks like fruit juice etc
are stuffs like ribena and sunkist sufficient?
*
I'd just take them all in one shake. Saves the hassle of consuming more than one thing. You can use glucolin, if I'm not mistaken.

LOL! I just tried to do weighted pullups. Loaded some plates into a backpack, which totalled up to 15kg. I could only manage one rep with a very slow negative. sweat.gif

And I can only do about 15 normal pullups. I've gotta work on this. laugh.gif

Yeah. The best-looking PT in my gym (his body damn huge and well-shaped) even gave me the wrong advice, although he looked sooo credible. When I first started I once asked him how to breathe during execution of bench press and he told me to breathe out while lowering the bar and breathe in while pushing it up. He even proudly demo-ed it to me, breathing out loudly while lowering the bar and sucking in air while pushing =.= This same PT also told me that I should always do my workouts in xx reps, as though it is a fixed rule which I must abide by at all times, which is stupid, since different rep ranges serve different purposes.

Another female PT (she's quite hot) taught me how to do the smith squats on my first day at the gym. Wrongly. Told me to ensure my back is straight (perpendicular to the floor) at all times and that my feet must be positioned in front of my body so that when I was at the bottom of the squat motion my abs and quads will form 90 degree angle, and my quads and lower leg will form 90 degree. I was like wha...? So different from the squats I read from Rippetoe's. And she also told me that I cannot do free weights until I am stronger. Told me to strictly stick to machines only for first few months. I just ignored her advice lol...
*
LOL, it's hard enough to get into that 90 degree position by yourself, let alone having a barbell and weights on your back. sweat.gif
