im enjoying this thread as much as im enjoying Russell Peters and Harold & Kumar: Escape from Guatanamo Bay while flying high in the sky. good lord save him!

btw, even i cant leg press friggin 320kilos man. no shit. he's a monstah!

Russell Peters FTW! icon_rolleyes.gif

Harold and Kumar never get old. =x

On a side note, was experimenting in the kitchen earlier. =x Came up with this concoction for a simple snack. 3 scrambled eggs, a tin of tuna mixed together and cooked till the eggs are okay. Then I drizzled olive oil on it and mixed it up to get an even coating. Added in some HP sauce in the end cause it tasted a bit bland. Seriously not bad. thumbup.gif

Try this, put 3 eggs, can of tuna, tomatoes, mushrooms, some mixed herbs, dash of salt and pepper. put a thin layer of mozarella cheese, bake it in the oven...Give it a shot buddy

Sounds good. I'll try that out some time.

Was trying to make something quick since I just got home from school and was starving. doh.gif

How's your Wendler 5/3/1 going? I wonder is his programme suitable for rabbits like me. You know lah, rabbits can't lift heavy yet. Maybe for dudes like Jon DL 160+kg... Wendler 5/3/1 would be a good match.

LOL! Nice feeling, kan?
Does your glutes become sore too?

wad u guys do as warm up? 3-min cardio or light-weight warm up?
and do u guys actually include cardio session while u bulking up?
*
Stretching and warmup sets for the specific exercise. Cardio is good for you, even when you're bulking.

Also, to those guys who has a decent amount of mass and do not compete, how to you feel when someone say to other people in front of you that you have muscles but its of no use at all and it's all just for show?
*
Usually the bugger who does that to me is some stuck-up skinny little prick. So, I'd either ask him to arm wrestle me or I throw a punch his way. Seriously.

Anyway, was watching this video of Darrem Charles. Damn, he looked good here. shocking.gif

I really did do that. ._. The guy's in my school and he IS a stuck-up skinny little prick. I didn't punch him in the face, of course. That would lead to complications. =x

okay guys, what's the most effective exercise to train forearms using dumbbells?

*
Is it so hard to look for it yourself? You were given a site listing exercises for nearly every single muscle in your body in your thread.

I've just received some 'unconventional' nutrition and exercise advice today:
(pizzaboy, can you ask your coach about these pointers whether they make sense? Because they certainly don't make any sense to me. LOL!)

1) Drinking whey in between set during workout will put the proteins to waste. It's better to take isotonic drinks. Post workout should be something with carbs (milk, bananas, eggs), then a few minutes later---whey protein.

2) Don't take protein stuff immediately after waking up. Take some carb (fruits, honey, bread, rice, porridge, etc) or chinese style soup. Then take protein (eggs, milk, whey, etc) 1/2 to 1 hour later.

3) Chin up works the triceps instead of the biceps.
Well I have lots of respect for the gym owner, but this one I can't accept.

Braindead,
HL is low lactose. Probably that's why it's more expensive. If you're not lactose intolerant, then it doesn't matter much to you.

Did the statements come with reasons as well? Especially the third one. shakehead.gif

I think the gym owner meant that the triceps are part of the worked muscle but they are there to act as a synergist nothing more. Well I hope thats what he meant.

Another possibility would be the gym owner might recognize the chinups as a pullup vice versa. I think this is a common issue, therefore as long as he knows what he's doing I don't see a problem with that as well.

Heck he is a gym owner, i'm assuming he at least knows a fraction about training , give that soul the benefit of doubt  brows.gif  brows.gif  brows.gif

Oh, fair enough in that case. ._.

Meh, today's workout was awful. Overall, I felt really tired. Triceps still hadn't recovered from Saturday's beating and for some reason my shoulders felt weak as well. Needless to say, my chest workout wasn't very good. unsure.gif

Yeah, it's called a defend mechanism. They make a something unacceptable and turn it into something acceptable in their minds.

He was my housemate last year. There was once he was asking me how to gain weight and stuff, and at the same time he asked me to boil eggs for him everyday when I'm cooking my own eggs. I was like "WTF you want to gain weight and you ask me to cook for you?" and instead of taking back his statement he said "I'll buy the eggs and you cook for me." I said "Fvck you. NO." Then he was like aiyo small things also cannot help then he get all angry like a 5 year old boy who can't get his sweets. He always asks people to do crazy things for him and when he gets rejected he'll use that aiyo small things also cannot help line.

That are you jealous line was a really good idea! But what if he says no i'm not jealous?

Anyway that pukimakcaucibai said my muscles are useless to a bunch a friend again this morning when I was kind enough to bring him and a bunch a friends for breakfast. I just ignored but felt like breaking his bony forearms into 5 small pieces each forearm. I really tried to ignore him but how do I ignore it when he is doing this in front of me many times in a week?
*
Is there really no way to get him out of your life? hmm.gif

He's in my class, my group mate and my group leader...until I graduate. He handles the attendance of the whole group including mine. To make things worse, both of our names starts with the same letter, so the college arrange everyone in class in the alphabetical order and I'm next to him, so no matter what we're doing, I'll always be next to him.

But at least he's not my housemate anymore.

Enough about that pukimacaucibai, see, starting this week, I'm changing my training routine into a full body workout after 2 years on the split. I'm following the one on this month's Muscle & Fitness mag on page 112. It's pretty lengthy, but basically it's training each muscle group twice a week in a 6 day training + 1 rest day week. Much like your alternating workout 1 and workout 2 thing. I'm going to do this for 2-4 weeks. It's very exhausting, and I'm only on day 2...Don't know how long I can tahan, but I need to get off from my plateau.

Interesting, keep us updated on how it goes. biggrin.gif

Just hold a pair of dumbbells and do the calf raises? Or if there's a leg press machine you can use it.
