select reliable safe trader.

i see many shoppers always value the price for 1st, whose cheap goes whose seller, in fact i think reliable is the most important point that shoppers should consider. is totally not worth if there is a con.some seller can get good feedback of selling for few months, but after all they went missing in action. if you are unlucky you will be one of the victim. in short, i think choose the seller is most important factor before commit online trade^^
because once last time i experienced before =.=. thought of save for few ringgit in one forum for same item different seller, end up not a pleasant deal at all

agree biggrin.gif

why save that few ringgits if you're not guaranteed a smooth transaction wink.gif

but then again, if most of us are to deal with reliable safe traders, how would the budding e-sellers going to survive?

i guess, it depends on luck sometimes, even some reliable traders can sometimes surprise you.

hehe then the budding e sellers need to work more hard to build their own trust to shoppers lo tongue.gif that's why money hard to earn mah right! bear in mind not all shoppers are smart, just like lyn, there are rules and guides on safely trade online, but i guess only 3/10 shoppers read it. so there are still possible budding e sellers can get sales and survive out there - no doubt.

so long for me if as a buyer, i'm definitely first judge whether worth to get online or not, 2nd choose safe trader in forum, powerseller in ebay to minimize the risk doh.gif

I'm one of the lucky ones who have no bad experience so far. I've bought clothes from ebay and other websites before with no problems. Usually i would learn the background of the online store or person before making any purchases or i would see what other customers say.

But sometimes it's not the customers who get conned. Sometimes it's the sellers as well. I came across before this guy (from overseas) who wanted to buy a product from my friend in bulk. He promised to banked in the money and gave his details. A few days later my friend got an email, supposedly from a 'bank' saying that the money is ready to be transferred into his account, but he has to send the items first. The email was quite professional and many ppl would have thought it was valid. Not believing this email, my friend emailed this customer, and the customer promised to check it out with the bank. After that there was no news from the customer and bank afterwards.

Just a story to share with you all. So that you guys won't fall for this kinda things as well.

hot choc,
i am one of the unlucky seller who experienced this too :S
there is one id (female) who claimed that she banked in to me in less than 5mins talk, when i asked for the receipt she said she just walked in to bank which in front of her house and she throw the receipt away right after walked out, and even sounds like i con her money. when i bring up moderator, administrator and banker proof, she only told me she banked in to wrong account. in fact during discussion, she said and typed account holder name without flaws.
not even that, she dont leave me alone, change id and keep ask me to do trade with her. i think she must con me successfully only happy. sobsob!

so this world is weird, what kind of people you also can find ,my lord.

i do encounter a few times, some within lyn itself, some on other websites.

i feel e-shopping is not all cheap and hassle free. some sellers charge a higher shipping rate, but in fact, it doesnt cost that much. Most sellers use pos laju and charges are usually between RM5-RM8 per package delivery (of course, depending on the weight as well), but the actual cost incurred is not even close to what they charge us. pos laju always print the total amount payable for that package on the delivery slip and most of the time, it's usually lesser than what i've been charged.

on the other note, if you opt for COD, it's not that hassle free as everyone think it is. you have to spend time arranging, rearranging time and place to meet, to accommodate the seller and buyer's convenience thus wasting more time deciding on this and you'll probably get the stuff some time later.

one thing i really kenot stand with some unscrupulous buyers is no matter how many times i clarify the size with the seller, the clothes i bought is somehow smaller than the measurement given. although, seller always emphasize on "buying at our own risk", but it is also seller's responsibilities to provide information closest to the stuff we wanted to purchase.

which is why, nowadays, i rarely purchase clothes online. although it may looks all nice in the picture, but what is the point of buying something which i kenot wear. and sometimes, it's harder to gauge, altho measurement given >_<

i would still prefer going to malls/boutique, try them and purchase clothes i know i can fit in and suits me.

purple, the rate u can check at www.pos.com.my, the first 500g is rm4, but it's excludes fuel and gov tax.

for me, i just charge rm6 for pos laju, coz need to pay parking as well.

normal include all the fees for one parcel within 500g is rm5.82 in my experience.

oh izzit? i know nothing about it blink.gif

how different is the actual postage charge from the price the seller charge us?

I also often get the wrong size from seller, especially DREAMY COLLECTION.

the size stated in its website is F, but the actual size reaching my hand is L
Paid RM35 for a cloth i cant wear mad.gif
and such thing didnt happen just for once

You mind sharing with us the name of seller who give the misleading measurement to you?

Have anyone encounter parcel send through post express but never received anything? Just happened to me recently. Was told by the seller that the parcel was sent last wednesday. So i waited for Thursday, Friday and until this week.. I yet to received anything??
I then asked the seller and she promised to check for me.. She told me she throw away the tracking number.. Oh no.. So still waiting for her reply..
I wonder if she going to cheat me.. I don think so as it only RM20..Ermm... What do you guys think?
*
the buyer should hv provided u the tracking number. pos ekspres do not need signature, pos laju need. if u wan secure, choose pos laju, or pos daftar but pos dafter need to wait, i not sure how long. also, the seller should follow up whether the buyer has received the item.

true, but sometimes, seller charge way higher. for example, a simple top, can hardly weigh 500gm, they charge RM7 or so. but in fact in the pos laju paper, it's only RM5 or so. you get the point wink.gif

$7 compared to $5 is WAY higher? Shopping in real life cost you transport fee of more than $5 (depending on which mall you're going, and type of transport you use), but nobody's whining.

You might think $5 is adequate as its what the merely what charged by the post office per weight. Don't forget the seller also needs to charge handling fee + envelope/stationeries/boxes.

the envelope for pos laju the cheapest one rm0.75, the bigger one rm1.30.

i m seller oso buyer myself, i understand why some seller quote higher.

seller n buyer could reach a consensus when they understand each other, think from two part

true, but e-shopping is supposedly should be cheaper. wink.gif that RM7/RM5 is just an example... it's not a big issue, but i suppose, seller should clear. postage fee is postage fee, all the rest, should go into the price of the item (profit+handling fees+etc etc). tongue.gif just my thought.

But for me few hundred still ok to buy on9. but thousand above I prefer to see on that item and pay and get for make sure the quality of the item and pay on spot to prevent scam.

You mean "shipping and handling" fee. This term is commonly understood as all the cost involved in getting the item to your doorstep (postage+stationeries+misc cost to get to the post-office).

Well if the seller merely stated "postage fee", she/he is using a wrong word, causing misunderstanding to the buyer (Making them think its only charged for the item weight). smile.gif

Only dumb buyer would throw their receipt after transferring his/her money. everytime i do online shopping, i'd keep my receipt just in case the seller claimed i never paid. when i read the line where u said she threw it right away, it sounded odd to me already shakehead.gif hahaha! and yeah, i wonder why would people do that for? they shud've find something better to do than con-ning people rclxub.gif

btw, i encountered a girl who refused to reply me back after i sent back the contact lens she sell. when i tried wearing the lens, they are very very hot! imagine u rub ur eyes with ur hand that has chilli... it burnt like nutS! so i told her i want a new pair from her (free). she said alright as long as i post the lens back to her. and i DID! vmad.gif i paid for my postage fee too! and not a single word from her. i left her sms and msn msg and no reply shocking.gif ! bare in mind i still remember the name i just wont wanna mention it ;-)
