4870X2 and GTX295 more lower performance than GTX260 if the games no support SLI.  Which i found out now these day alot new games no support SLI...if got support also need wait 2-3 month later when nvidia release new driver. also 50% chances make the games support SLI only.  Example Empire Total War is non SLi games...even it release 3 month already.

thats true in some cases....but think about it if u upgrade from the gtx 260 to 4890 u probably see 10%-15% increase in frames per second in some games only but u are paying like 100-200 bucks more...IMO is not worth it

depends on the game and the other hardware.

but my frens who got an i7 with a Gigabyte GTX 260 can maxed out in Warhead on that reso and according to him,he doesnt feel any lagginess at all.
*
when u play at high reso like 1920....it become more dependant on GPU than CPU...and of course gtx 260 is able to play at that reso with no problems....but thats only on high setting in crysis...not very high(enthusiast settings in warhead) though tongue.gif

take a look at this article http://www.guru3d.com/article/cpu-scaling-...re-processors/1 ...i know its quite an old article but u'll see some interesting benchmark in it ....high settings depends more on your RAM than anything else ...u will notice that it stutters a lot if u have insufficient ram for the game eventhough u have a powerfull graphic card

hehe...its something to be reckon with when its overclocked eh...thats only a few fps difference but thats still an improvement no doubt u prove me wrong....i dont really take gta4 as a benchmark since its pretty badly optimized though its getting better with newer patch

really tht possible?gtx260 is 216 sp while 275 have 240 sp.if oc can archieve almost the same performance thn i think not realy tht worth it to forge out the extra rm500+ for a 275

btw cex already start orders for zotac gtx275 (non amp! edition),rm1.2k
*
u do know 4890 is kind of an Oced 4870 right? the performance of the 275 is like maybe at most 10-15% faster and thats only on certain games...upgrading from a gtx 260 to 275 to me its not worth it

why ler my GTA4 performance not so good,
just like i'm using my old baby 8800GT  sad.gif  sad.gif
*
its an unoptimized piece of crap....it wont improve much performance over the 8800gt but now u can put everything to very high settings because of the extra memory lol

its only slightly more optimized with each patches but i am happy that rockstar actually take the time to release a few patches..theres still graphical bugs not fixed yet...anyway u can still play everything on maxed setting on a 8800gt except for crysis and gta4 of course

dude it doesnt support SLi ....and even if u have a quad the performance increase is so little thats how badly unoptimized the game is

I am using one, Asus ENGTX275(RM1029). Bought it during the recent PC fair. Benched with 3DMark06, the result is just on par with my previous HD4870.
*
u should try some games or 3dmark vantage....i dont think 3dmark 06 is a good benchmark....i think its more CPU dependant than anything else
