Last time I stayed at serena hotel, very near to railway station. Just take the angkutan kota, very cheap to go everywhere but u need to know the route. Main attraction? Girls are always attracted to FOs, pasar baru and shopping mall, hair saloon and spas hahahaha To go to kawah putih, tangkuban perahu we hired a driver (supir) becoz it was very far and the public transport (bus) was not reliable

Angkutan kota? How do I get on one? Have to wait like bus, or is there an angkot station?

Between Tangkuban and Kawah Putih, which is a nicer trip? Planning to go both, see the timing how, but will most likely skip kawah putih as I might be going ijen instead. Could stay longer but bandung is really only a side trip for me

Will be staying there 2D/2N.

when are u going? if during weekend better be sure to get train tickets early

Need to book train ticket how early? Day before can get?

nono i mean which day of the week. if go during weekend then good luck lol. lots of jakarta ppl also wanna go bandung one. i think can get 1 day before not sure

Tuesday - Touch down in CGK early morning, will stay one night in Jaksa Road
Planned places to see: Kota Lama, Sunda Kelapa, Jalan MH Thamrin

Wednesday - In and around Jakarta. Take night train to Bandung, stay overnight

Thursday - Rent motorcycle to go to Ciwidey, Kawah Putih, Situ Patenggang, stay overnight

Friday - In and around Bandung, Tangkuban Perahu, take overnight bus to Wonosobo

Should be ok right?

this is how angkutan kota looks like. If you see one, just lambai lambai and they will come to you. but must make sure the route. u can just ask local people or hotel receptionist on the route

How long does it take to get to Cicaheum bus station from train station area? Distance wise under 10km but dunno duration will take how long given the traffic.

the scenery to bandung is awesome especially along the mountains and bridge. last time I saw a man squat to poo poo next to the track and my train passed by him. such a nice view

Too bad I need to take night bus/train as I need to make my itinerary compact

i always look at the route (at the windscreen) and confirm with the driver. I cant remember how long it took to the train station. its been a year lah. but traffic really bad during the weekend

What is considered weekends there? Sat and Sun? What about Friday?

Asking because I want to avoid the weekend surcharge

ok je kot. u can buy the ticket at convenience store or go to reservation counter at north gate if im not mistaken. u can buy on the spot like we did but depends on ur luck lah.

Good la, cos Tangkuban Perahu entrance fee is 300k IDR on weekends, 200k on weekdays
Btw, at the entrance, heard u have to walk quite far up the hill. is there a minibus to go up the hill to Tangkuban Perahu?

Tangkuban entrance fee is so expensive meh? I think we spent <100k IDR per head. maybe 40-60k I cant remember. There were a lot of cars, vans at the car park. Dont need to take van uphill

maybe u r referring to kawah putih? I went there on Friday only paid 30k for entrance fee and 16k for in site transportation. from the parking area yes, we need to take a van/jeep uphill

but i was a year ago. exactly a year ago
