Not much to see in Jakarta, but in Bandung, you can go to Tangkuban Perahu and Kawah Putih

I'm going to Jakarta soon. Is it better to...

1) Bring MYR and change to IDR there
2) Bring USD and change to IDR there
3) Change to IDR here and bring there



No, still tinkering around.
But flight tickets bought already.

Plan to do that actually, need a bank account for travel.
What are the withdrawal fees for CIMB atm overseas?

Know any nice place to stay in Bandung which is within walking distance to main attractions in town?
Easy to get around town with public transport?

Angkutan kota? How do I get on one? Have to wait like bus, or is there an angkot station?

Between Tangkuban and Kawah Putih, which is a nicer trip? Planning to go both, see the timing how, but will most likely skip kawah putih as I might be going ijen instead. Could stay longer but bandung is really only a side trip for me

Will be staying there 2D/2N.

Need to book train ticket how early? Day before can get?

Oh I see..

Tuesday - Touch down in CGK early morning, will stay one night in Jaksa Road
Planned places to see: Kota Lama, Sunda Kelapa, Jalan MH Thamrin

Wednesday - In and around Jakarta. Take night train to Bandung, stay overnight

Thursday - Rent motorcycle to go to Ciwidey, Kawah Putih, Situ Patenggang, stay overnight

Friday - In and around Bandung, Tangkuban Perahu, take overnight bus to Wonosobo

Should be ok right?

How long does it take to get to Cicaheum bus station from train station area? Distance wise under 10km but dunno duration will take how long given the traffic.

What is considered weekends there? Sat and Sun? What about Friday?

Will go to Gambir station anyways, which is near Jaksa road. Thinking of buying my other train tickets there too, not just to bandung.

Good la, cos Tangkuban Perahu entrance fee is 300k IDR on weekends, 200k on weekdays
Btw, at the entrance, heard u have to walk quite far up the hill. is there a minibus to go up the hill to Tangkuban Perahu?
