and to back cyberloner's pt:
QUOTE AMD took the lessons learned through developing ACC with 65-nm Phenom and baked them into their 45-nm Phenom II silicon. As a result, ACC no longer provides the OC’ing benefits it did previously with 65-nm Phenom parts. In the words of AMD: “you can just as well leave ACC off for Phenom II OC testing. Since, the "go-fast" things we learned from ACC (and those CPU parameter adjustments) were factored into 45nm, the benefit unlocked previously by ACC in 65nm silicon is already being realized without having to use the ACC feature separately.” Over the Christmas holiday (before hearing this from AMD) we’d already attempted OC’ing our Phenom II CPU and sure enough, ACC provided no benefit when OC’ing the processor. We actually thought something was wrong with our 790GX motherboard until we heard back from AMD. http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/amd_ph...mance/page2.asp This post has been edited by astria: Mar 28 2009, 12:59 AM |

QUOTE(AMDAthlon @ Mar 28 2009, 12:34 AM) If i'm not mistaken u gone thru X2 38+ F3>Phenom 9550>Phenom 9850>Phenom 9950>Phenom 9750>Phenom II 720>X2 7750?? i never own a 9850be nor 9600be, d faults are on u guys, poison me too deep... You missed out his 9600BE and 9650 i think Yeah..nowadays AMD love multis more than HTT but not all chips.. QUOTE(astria @ Mar 28 2009, 12:41 AM) wat does it mean when it becomes like this (the start menu part)??? diff acc value will help bro. cause of this: d crippled core but if u put d correct acc, u won't be seein this kinda thing. no oc on the integrated graphic, running the CPU on 4 cores @ 3.3GHz (200 x 16.5) QUOTE(cyberloner @ Mar 28 2009, 12:42 AM) 3.6 failure.... so sad... from what i understand acc add (+%) /minus (-%) voltage from cores. logically it should be +% but not all d times... by the way ah_khoo... does acc helps for you? i just tried enable all 4 core 2% and auto... both not helping at all... Does we need add more percent? Just never familiar with ACC yet... and surf a lot web all said it is not helping Phenom II only... Hope future SB does help P2.... Acc2 maybe trial & error is d key, that's what oc is all about isn't it? |

hi all the sifu out there. i'm currently using a x4 810 with biostar ta790gx-128m. i wish to oc it to 3.6. i succeed at 3.12 (240x13) with +0.1 for vcore, 2.1v for ram voltage, downclock my ram to lowest and the rest i leave it default. when i increase it to 278x13 with +0.15 vcore it restart after a few minutes of prime test. wat shud i do to get the 3.6 result?

as according to Biostar's website...
GX3 has got 100% solid caps, and DDR3 for SidePort (128M has DDR2)... other than that, can't really tell the diff... |

Trying to get 3.6 stable is no way at the moment (Hope some new chipset will help such as sb750 helps phenom 1)... even pump +vcore +0.150 +0.175 +0.20 all will get BSOD and restart... tried add cpu-nb as well.. fail... But my cpu will stay stable at 3562Mhz.... prime for 7 hours without any problem. Confirm ACC is not helping Phenom II but makes it easy to crash ... QUOTE(zerohunter @ Mar 28 2009, 02:01 AM) ACC = Advanced Clock Calibrationbasically there are 6 buses connected to Phenom from the SB750, which can correct the clock of Phenom on the fly... AMD said the ACC technique has already integrated into Phenom II though... |

I still back to my point ... ACC is not really useful here. More easy to crash than stabilize the cpu here.
Just sharing not argue =P -2 -2 -2 -2 +2 +2 +2 +2 0 0 0 +2 +12 +12 +12 +12 -4 -4 -4 -4 All will get more easier to hang and bsod.... This post has been edited by cyberloner: Mar 28 2009, 02:27 AM |
