actually last time i got drop by here also, even posted some screenies with my Athlon x2 5200+ Brisbane, but somehow the record's gone from the 1st page...

as for the mobo, it was actually a suggestion from my friend... it was Oct last yr, and i was looking for a matx 790GX mobo (cuz i already thought of getting Phenom II back then), only Biostar's one fit my requirement in terms of spec and price...

well, i haven't done any oc/unlocking yet here, but wanna ask a few questions:

Attached Image

i see that the NB frequency is only 1600MHz, while i read on AMD website it should be 2000MHz for 720...

did a quick check at Biostar's website as well, it says support up to 5200MT/s

at the BIOS, it seems that the max i can go is 1600MHz

here's a few pics i got from the BIOS:

well, seriously i am getting confused... i saw in ah_khoo's screenshots before the NB frequency was 2000MHz... does it mean my mobo is limiting the NB frequency?

btw, ve another problem (not a big one though)

after unlocking the 4th core, there seems to be some problem with using SidePort... if i set to SidePort only, Windows will refuse to load, and upon the next successful login, it would report that there was an error with the display driver...

issit juz me or other 720BE users are having the same problem?

I read some article they said that the 4th core was damaged physically to disable it..so probably for tis case was the thermocouple was short circuited only.. tongue.gif

K10 has only 1 sensor...

CoreTemp website has a pretty detailed explaination on that...

that y im asking here.
hehe. x3, x2, nvm. juz wan play with amd since got extra money lol.
x4 no need. my brother hav it. so i juz go play with his pc.

Biostar TA790GX3 stated ATi hybrid technology.
so AMD 790GX Chipset with ATI Radeon HD 3300 Graphics can CF with anything?

im gonna buy this mobo if got many ppl suggest it.

P/s: for budget it will be around 3k. extra bonus money from cny. didnt use until now.
*
hybrid technology means the Radeon HD 3300 will run in CF mode with Radeon HD 3450/3470...

not much use to me...
