fot those having the problem, quickly send it back to NCC before the warranty expired. QUOTE To all having a self shut down problem. Yep, Had the same problem. Phone dying (shutting down on itself) every other minute. Had A fight with Nokia service centre Idiots. Ultimately wrote a letter in institutional pad to the manager, and threatened consumer court action. Now received it back from service center today. Motherboard changed. New IMEI no. Working fine. Cant believe Nokia brought out such a crappy phone. (from AIIMS/ Delhi/India).
So if you have such a problem.... don't quit pestering them till your voice is heard. They are bound by law to do it. it seems a lot of people starts having the same problem as mine...

i'm scouting the phone at bb plaza this afternoon.. i can't believe the shopkeeper don't even bother to inform me in advance the phones that i'm asking are china imitate.. from the look it looks exactly the same until you touch it and check the software inside... i feel so stupid try to test n82 and nokia tube but found out it's china nokia... hahahaha.. so i just left the shop without saying a word. the shop is quite shady, they put those imitate phones at second hand phones spot.. QUOTE(Nickysnipe @ Mar 1 2009, 01:59 PM) now another problem here... i go to setting>Remote Gps there... it show me ASSISTED GPS how to turn it off? i mean i dun wan use A-GPS.... A-GPS will help to lock the satellites signal quickly and it won't cost you so much for data transfer though.

QUOTE(lordskarn @ Mar 1 2009, 01:15 PM) Where did u send the tube.. mine was sent for 2 almost major repairs, and they were able to do both within 2 hours each time.. first was change of motherboard - which changes my product code etc all together like new, then second time change of what they call as "sensor and ribbon" because my slide keylock switch not working.. sent to NCC Amcorp Mall 10th floor (in PJ) And now I'm probably having a new problem as well, whenever using the built in loudspeaker for calls, all my friends complain very hard to hear.. tried with 4-5 ppl all say the same.. I remembered it was crystal clear before changing the motherboard because they were complimenting "your voice sounds so clear on the new phone".. mine is AP, so i sent it back to the shop where i bought it,, the AP co is in jln imbi..i can send it on my own but i'm too lazy my phone NCC diagnosed as motherboard problem as well.

QUOTE(AsuKi @ Mar 1 2009, 08:11 PM) claim down pal patient arrr..wait new imaging prosesing software come out...german so damn good in image prosessing software. i don't think with better image processing software it will help that much since it lies on the camera itself. 5800 cam has a very small focal length or whatever that means.. other good nokia cam has at least 5.4mm(n79) focal length (n82,95,95 all have 5.6mm focal length), but 5800 only has like 3.7mm right? QUOTE(hvaly @ Mar 2 2009, 10:45 AM) From symbian-freak website, Someone is developing multitouch on our tube though it is software based simulation .. great news for that .. hehe resistive touch screen could do that as well like ipone multitouch technology, hope the result promising multi-touch technology is patented by apple,, that's the main hindrance for other company to adopt it as well.

QUOTE(tachlio @ Mar 2 2009, 11:49 AM) i still thinking now ady second batch Anywhere i can check the batch?? (Box got mention or not ) Coz i think 2nd batch may fix earphone, light leakage, and battery gap But life timer still can reset right? i don't think you would know which phone is the second, third batch etc.. provided you buy it at least middle of this year, most likely it is not the first batch phone by then. wih less satellites connected, of course the accuracy is off a bit.. you can see the accuracy status from your GPS data under positioning or something.
