i will call zitron berjaya or mobile technic bb plaza tomorrow to find out about it..
i cannot tahan already with my phone, almost 2 weeks only working in warm/hot condition after updated to v20.
last time already sent to NCC at bb plaza but they said have to wait for the latest firmware before they can do anything with my phone so i took it back.
apparently i'm not the only one having the problem after updated to v20..

the flashing process itself should take less than 5 mins..
when updating using NSU or JAF or phoenix, the downloading firmware part that takes so much time.
for NCC they should have the firmware readily on their system, so will take them at most 10 mins to flash the phone?

of course they would have other phones to tend to as well, i don't think your phone is the only one sent for repair/updating
and perhaps they have some standard procedures to follow as well in order to update the firmware?

i just called mobile technics bb plaza, they have the latest firmware v20 as well.

mine is rebooting every now and then and later on die on its own.
it only happens in cool condition like in air conditioned room or during rainy days...

if i use the phone as a modem it won't reboot/die even though the condition in the room is slightly cool probably the phone is warm enough because of the 3G usage.

my set is meant for middle east market and apparently the NCC guy i called just now mentioned about similar problem with the middle east market phone, i hope he knows what caused the problem and fix it.

i sent mine to NCC just now...
i really hope they managed to fix my phone..

i have the same problem, already sent mine to NCC this afternoon and will pick up tomorrow, i hope they managed to rectify it.
i checked work order for my phone in mobiletechnic website , my phone is ready for pick up.

when i pick up the phone tomorrow i will check first to make sure the problem is not coming back. since the NCC is pretty cool inside, it won't take much time for the phone to restart and die on its own.

anyway when is your phone started having the problem?
mine started when i updated to v20 via NSU.

trust me i have tried everything when the problem arises.. nothing will rectify it..
i have reflashed using 3 different methods(NSU,Phoenix, JAF) with various firmware variants..
the problem is still persists..
i have changed memory card...changed the battery...take out the sim card, take out memory card..
nothing will rectify it...
my only hope is NCC to fix it.. i have done everything on my part before sent it to NCC.

just as you mentioned, it doesn't restart or die when the phone is slightly warm (e.g browsing the website using 3G) or in hot weather condition.
in my office, it will die soon after reboot a few times...it's not even cold in my office.

even slightly cool weather will make the phone reboot then die on its own...
when the phone in warm/hot condition then the problem is gone.

negative...
that one is the different problem..
it's not turn off when the phone is shaking etc...it's the weather that makes it behave weirdly

i have done the insert paper method on my phone...it's not solve the problem.

even when the phone is totally clean after fresh reflashing without memory card inserted, without sim card, the problem still happen.

the problem raised when i updated to v20 via NSU.
my phone is meant for middle east market though (AP set), not local.

mine only happened after updated to v20...
it's never happened before and it's working perfectly fine .

for those having reboot and die on its own problem..
apparently it's the PCB (motherboard) problem..
NCC won't repair it for AP phone because it's too expensive, it;s better buying a new set or so they said.

so now my only solution is to return it back to the place where i bought it or probably just buy a replacement phone, even if i sent for repair to AP shop, i think it would take a long for them to fix it.

of course got warranty but i think it would take a long time for them to fix my phone.

is it possible for them to trade in my phone then i top up for a new phone?

ori or AP , they are still nokia phone and sourced from the same nokia factories around the world.
the only different is the warranty part.
