Yeah, likely Shitmyx ISP server can be infected with this virus. Cause their services slow as their network / server.

Other ISP already protected their server because this virus appear since January. Thats why i cannot find any news this virus screw-up others ISP.

hey guys..can help me out with this prob..

the place im staying at has 2 phone lines..one is mine and one is another housemate's. The prob is, when they turn on their modem provided by tmnut, my dsl light will flicker and resync but now when they turn it on my dsl light just disappears and i cant connect or do anything. Restarting the modem+router(aztech dsl605ew) doesnt help at all.

as far as i know this should not happen right? unsure.gif

TM same problem as this? Say to complete by April 5....

TM Announces Internet Service Disruption

KUALA LUMPUR, March 31 (Bernama) -- Telekom Malaysia Bhd ™ announced today a disruption of its Internet services due to circuit faults on the Southeast Asia-Middle East-Western European 3 and Asia Pacific Cable Network 2.

As a result, customers using the Internet services may experience slow browsing while accessing websites hosted in the United States and Hong Kong, said TM in a statement.

Customers using other Internet Protocol (IP) services such as Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to the two countries may also experience some service degradation, it said.

Restoration works on the affected cables are already in progress, TM said.

However, during the restoration process, traffic to North America and Hong Kong may experience degradation while traffic to other countries will not be affected, it said.

The services are expected to be fully restored by April 5, according to TM.

It added that it will be making further announcements on the progress of the restoration works.

SERVICE INTERRUPTION

Dear Valued Customers,

Telekom Malaysia Berhad ™ wishes to announce that there is a disruption of its Internet services due to circuit faults on the SMW3 between Tuas, Singapore and Penang linking Malaysia to Hong Kong and APCN2 near Chongming, China connecting Malaysia to the United States. As a result, customers using the Internet services may experience slow browsing while accessing websites hosted in the U.S. and Hong Kong.

In addition, customers using other IP services such as Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to the U.S. and Hong Kong may also experience some service degradation.

To alleviate the problem, some of the links have been rerouted to alternate routes to ease the congestion.

Restoration works on the affected cables are already in progress. However, during the restoration process, traffic to Northern America and Hong Kong may experience degradation. However, traffic to other countries will not be affected. TM expects complete recovery of its services by 5 April 2009 and will make further announcements on the progress of the restoration works.

TM wishes to assure its customers that it is undertaking all necessary measures to restore communications services for its customers as soon as possible.
Customers can call TM at 100 and select “Internet Services” or e-mail us at help@tm.com.my for any Internet related problems.
Thank You.
