broken wiring outside ur house or at the pole there could really affect your streamyx connection...try check your snr margin...

one more issue could be ur torrent client..nowaday dunno why if i set my tcpip half open too high..then i will get dc sad.gif

check you snr margin..if the margin is very low and when u pick up ur phone..u hear noise, then you can launch a call to 100 for phone line faulty and at the same time inform the streamyx as well.

they shd will arrange some1 over to your house to replace the wiring. not sure how much they charge but my new line wiring from pole to house the technician charge me rm30..

Dont use their shitty speedtest, instead use a more reliable speedtest like speedtest.net or testmy.net. If ask to perform a speedtest by their customer support, just use speedtest.net and test on local server (ie. Kuala Lumpur, Penang).

THe solution for you is to setup Open DNS at router level.

open dns wouldnt help anything if your connection/routing to that dns is sux..

i doubt so...even when u call their so call 100....the 1st level call support dun even know what is ip range~...i try to explain to them..but failed..end up kena reset port~


then finally i am able to push the problem to their 2nd level support but the answer is..they will try to release more ip range to the customer..but no guarantee.. vmad.gif
