Read some of the impressions of the Kasumi DLC in the Bioware forums. Looks good. Alot of people say that Kasumi + LMG is worth the USD 7.

Another DLC for Mass Effect 2:

QUOTE
Tomorrow, two bucks will get you a set of tricked out armor for Mass Effect 2, that turns Commander Shepard into "The Equalizer," and we don't mean this guy.

Billing the loadout as turning Shep into a one-man army, The Equalizer delivers the "Capacitor Helmet," the "Archon Visor," and the "Inferno Armor" to your armor locker. They aren't just for looks, either. Says BioWare:

    • "The Capacitor Helmet stores power for kinetic barriers, allowing Shepard's shields to recharge faster."
    • "The Archon Visor manages omni-tools and biotic amps, reducing the recharge time of Shepard's powers."
    • "The powered Inferno Armor speeds up Shepard's movements and increases his tech and biotic power damage, additionally stress analysis software even gives him an edge in negotiations outside of combat."

All yours for 160 Microsoft points, or 160 BioWare points if you've got the PC version. The Equalizer is available tomorrow. The Equalizer was on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on CBS.

Finished ME2 5 times already, really liked the combat system, much better than ME1 but story is much shorter, much buggy, more teammates but some are quite useless, and completely useless when playing on hardcore/insanity mode >_>
finished the insanity mode with soldier class, m-98 widow sniper rifle + Heightened adrenaline rush = pwnage brows.gif

really liked the background musci too, just incase you guys wanna listen the music without going play the game:

Posted May 13th 2010 11:00AM by John Callaham
Filed under: Downloads, Expansions, RPG, Mass Effect Series

Developer BioWare continues to crank out paid downloadable content for their hit RPG Mass Effect 2. Today UK based Gamerzines is reporting that the developer plans to release Mass Effect 2 Overlord sometime in June. The DLC will be in the form of a new mini-campaign of five levels on one planet.

The mission? You have to fight off an enemy AI as you go through a laboratory. You will also get to use the Hammerhead vehicle that was released in an earlier DLC pack for the game. According to IncGamers, the Overlord DLC will set you back 560 Microsoft points (about $7) when it's released.

Currently going through my 4th playthrough as a Vanguard, all using characters imported from Mass Effect 1, so that I can have more control of the outcomes instead of using the canon outcomes the story gives you if you created your character in Mass Effect 2.

Zaeed and Kasumi sure have some interesting quests though. smile.gif

Mass Effect the movie

QUOTE
BioWare's epic sci-fi role playing game is on its way to a theater near you, with Legendary Pictures—the studio banking on the notion that video game movies will be a Big Deal—reportedly picking up the film rights.

According to The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision Blog, Legendary has set events in motion that may ultimately bring Commander Shepard and his merry Mass Effect co-stars to the silver screen. Screenwriter Mark Protosevich, whose credits include The Cell, I Am Legend and Thor, is "in talks" to adapt the game.

Mass Effect was optioned in 2008 by ex-Marvel producer Avi Arad. Legendary has plenty of other video game fare in the works, with World of Warcraft and Gears of War flicks trying to get off the ground.

Seems BioWare wasn't blowing smoke when it said Hollywood was "very interested" in the Mass Effect franchise. Whether Mass Effect will ultimately reach celluloid is up to the movie gods.

Thank god it's not being directed by Uwe Boll.

Report: Mass Effect movie development moves forward
Posted May 25th 2010 8:00AM by John Callaham
Filed under: Culture, RPG, Mass Effect Series

It's looking like the long standing rumors that a Mass Effect movie has been under development is now moving forward. The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog site is reporting that mega-independent movie studio Legendary Pictures (The Dark Knight, 300, and most recently Clash of the Titans) has picked up the movie rights to BioWare's sci-fi RPG series.

The story states that a script for the movie is being written by Mark Protosevich, best known for his work on the recent Will Smith film I Am Legend. BioWare co-founders Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk will be executive producers of the planned movie version as will Casey Hudson who has lead the development of the Mass Effect games.
