Aside from both of them had pretty much nothing to say during those missions. I find Mordin and Grunt to be a good combo in Tuchanka. Every mob there only has armor and health, making Mordin's Incinerate blast very useful. Grunt's squad incinerate ammo and concussion shot makes things even ezier on Tuchanka.
got 2 Krogan charging towards you? no problemo, Incinerate blast, pew pew with squad incinerate ammo, concussion shot on 1 krogan, pew pew the other krogan, concussion shot the other, more pew pew = GG.

QUOTE(H@H@ @ Feb 22 2010, 10:49 AM) Wait a minute... is this why you guys say Insanity in ME1 was quite easy? BECAUSE YOU WERE ALL USING LVL 50s?!?!?!?!? yes that's why it was so easy to get the achievements At level 30, you can punch your way through most of the IFF mission (just don't punch the scions!).

QUOTE(H@H@ @ Feb 22 2010, 10:49 AM) EDIT: Wait a minute... is this why you guys say Insanity in ME1 was quite easy? BECAUSE YOU WERE ALL USING LVL 50s?!?!?!?!? I did complete ME1 once with a lvl 50+ Soldier on Insanity. The typical 'get to lvl 60' run. The only problems are those awful Immunity spamming enemies. Other than that, quite a walk in the park. ME2, I'm doing Hardcore. With just my guns and my AI squaddies for the biotics, Hardcore is hard enough. Maybe I should redo my talent points No thanks BioWare for cutting down on biotic powers but then again, Jack is a beast with Shockwave. Revenant A.Rifle cut through everything like butter even on insanity; like i said it's like an AK47 with a giant ammo clip.

I find that there are 2 kinds of build for Soldier. One is the Heighten Adrenaline Rush + Commando build which is suitable for A.Rifle + Sniper. And another one with "something something" Adrenaline Rush + Shock Trooper build where it's great for Shotgun + A.Rifle.

I have accuracy upgrades and it's still killing me. Most of the time I'm sniping. Yeah, I don't trust AIs with a sniper rifle even if it's Garrus or Thane A sniping soldier is fun. When the going gets tough, the shotgun is handy. I can't wait for the first Collector mission, I want the Widow rifle!

My build was basically maxing out both Disruptor/Incinerator ammo (With plus to damage) and taking Team Cryo (While maxing out the Combat Tactics thingy and improving damage) So, before fighting, equip team Cryo, then switch out between Disruptor and Incinerator ammo as necessary. Its actually pretty fun and effective.

Shotgun is handy for varren and enemies that manage to flank us. Or Harbinger who loves to hop over cover.

Heighten Adrenaline Rush gives you 140%damage boost, while the other branch of Adrenaline gives you 100% damage boost but increases your resistance to damage by 50%

No wonder when I snipe without activating Adrenaline Rush, enemies don't die in one shot

QUOTE(secondrate @ Feb 22 2010, 03:14 PM) It does? No wonder when I snipe without activating Adrenaline Rush, enemies don't die in one shot yup, thats right. That is why, in some situations, Soldier is the better sniper than Infiltrator. But there is a thread in BSN that explain it more in-dept with confirmation from Bioware staff: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/128/index/1080976/1

Its actually pretty fun and effective. Seems like we play Soldier the same way. I never really used Adrenaline Rush or Concussive Shot through out the game. Most of the time just Incendiary or Disruptive Ammo. Added on February 22, 2010, 3:35 pm Saw this at Kotaku. Left is Gabe Newell,CEO of Valve.Right is the evil Bobby Kotick,CEO of Activision. Got a question, guys.
Infiltrators only get the Sniper Rifle, the SMG and a pistol. But I've been reading on some forums the option of getting a shotgun or an Assault Rifle. Question is, how do I make an Infiltrator that can use one of them? Cos frankly the SMG is a pile of piss

Cos frankly the SMG is a pile of piss Don't worry, you don't have to look for it. You will be force to make a choice soon enough; just keep playing. The downside of it is that you will have to for go with the best Sniper Rifle in the game if you do choose to pick either the A.Rifle or Shotgun. Since you haven't get to that stage, I'm pretty sure you're still stuck with the shuriken(the SMG that you're currently using). There is an upgrade for the SMG during the mission where you are recruiting Tali. This post has been edited by JuzJoe: Feb 22 2010, 05:32 PM
