Yes, coverage is quite disappointing but then this is just a pre-launch and probably there will be more coverage area in the coming weeks.

Well, I guess it is already covered but have not been fully tested or something like that so it is better for them to not put areas that are not guaranteed to have yet in their list of coverage.

QUOTE(cskean @ Feb 19 2009, 12:21 PM) I'm using SE C902 and using DG postpaid, how come I can't detect the 3G signal even though I travel within KL area? If I'm not mistaken you will have to be using the 128k SIM card, I might be wrong though but if you were to use the 3G service you will have to upgrade to the 128k SIM card if you are still on the 64k one.Do I need any setting in order to detect the signal? |

QUOTE(sordanny @ Feb 20 2009, 12:02 PM) do u have any EDGE coverage map???? Well technically speaking yes those previously covered by EDGE should be having 3G coverage as well but it is just a matter of time on when they be upgrading it.cuz I think all the area covered by EDGE should be converted to HSDPA??????? |

QUOTE(sordanny @ Feb 20 2009, 01:29 PM) Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, it is still possible since EDGE is just 2.5G.ya i agree too but at least get an idea on which area is currently on EDGE and which are not areas already on EDGE should be getting 3G faster than those that are not?????? but from the looks of the map it seems almost the whole KL/PJ/Klang area are on EDGE coverage which i think in reality it should be not true?????? |

QUOTE(Slekerz @ Feb 21 2009, 05:28 AM) I call Digi customer service regarding digi broadband, they say, Digi will introduced more package after this soft lunch, and the coverage will be nationwide in Q4, i hope so. because right now i'm using digi edge. Like they said, it is just a soft launch and they could really use this period of time to do open beta testing as well. |

To those who can detect the 3G signal, you're on the 128k SIM card right?

QUOTE(suyee @ Feb 26 2009, 11:47 PM) Well as long as it is the 128k SIM card then yes it is able to detect the signal, I'm wondering if the 64k SIM card could at least pick up the signal even if it is unable to connect to it. |

QUOTE(amyhs99 @ Feb 27 2009, 02:18 AM) I'm on DiGi postpaid with a 64k sim. I can't pick ur DiGi's 3G but others. What do you mean by running on 3G? Are you talking about the 3G icon/symbol on your phone whenever there's 3G signal? But 1 thing, sometimes i see my phone running on 3G for a while with not even a bar of line for a few sec, and become normal again. |

QUOTE(allrightall @ Feb 27 2009, 12:25 PM) my area is edge enabled. Well in my opinion, if your area can pick up their 3G signal then it should probably be available on their official launch.now i am wondering if i go sign up digi broadband at digi centre at SS2 and bring back to penang can use or not, since already got 3G signal here. |

QUOTE(iRonTech @ Feb 27 2009, 12:27 PM) Looking at the posts made by DiGi Broadband 3G users, so far I've not seen any of them sharing the same IP at the moment. However, this cannot be a conclusion that it doesn't uses a shared IP as the amount of users now is minimal. |

QUOTE(unoshyo @ Feb 27 2009, 12:42 PM) so if i subcribe to DiGi 3G broadband and use in area that not in coverage 3g area ( but can get 3G signal by manual search), can it connect into 3g broadband? If you are able to pick up the 3G signal be it automatic or manual, you would probably be able to connect to it. Please correct me if my fact is wrong. |

QUOTE(unoshyo @ Feb 27 2009, 12:50 PM) hehe coz i m jus stay nearby ikea and found DiGi 52016 3G signal by manual search using modem. Those that are hidden and can only be found through manual search will usually be available soon as probably this stations are currently under beta testing at the moment. But i m afraid that they not access allow even those using DiGi 3g broadband. |

I actually thought that if they were to give a short period of trail to certain people it would be really nice for them to be able to test it with more users especially heavy users.
