i fully agree with user nick lhooipg ... u download or torent much don use wiireless coz it is sharing basic ... yes it is better to use FIX and u should not compare Digi with Streamyx coz u will be compare apple with orange ... one is Fix and one is wireless ...

u said "celcom" better ??? then most likely u not live in KL. KL Celcom Data Network is Extreamly SLOW (Every one know that) ...

soli if my word hurting any one ... just a simple sharing and muture good for all Digi user. coz we all love Digi so don hurt Digi ok... and don hurt Digi user too ...

in the others hand Celcom have over 1.3Million Data user ... so Fikir fikirkan lahhh wahai Wireless User ...
for wireless DATA service the less user on that network means faster speed ... so in this case maybe uMobile may win in term of speed and stability. any uMobile Broadband user here ?

For me no problem if they hogging the network, because after 3GB/10GB, they will get GPRS speed.
let say 16th every month get 10GB quota, maybe 5 days finish the quota, then balance 25 day get GPRS speed.
So we at normal lite user will still able to use it with stable speed, right?

If you are not exceed your quota and getting this speed, you should do a complaint.

i thought you are using bradband package, look like you are using postpaid plan with internet unlimited.
In that case the APN is diginet for digi internet.
mms also remain as digimms
3gdgnet is just for boradband user only. ( correct me if i'm wrong )

different:
if using postpaid + internet unlimited. The APN should be diginet.
If using broadband only sim, it will be 3gdgnet.
So if you insert broadband sim into phone, u need to change APN to 3gdgnet.

So if you are using digi postpaid/prepaid, if got 3G full bar, when connect to internet, it will drop to EDGE or even not able to make video call,
you need to call DIGI, they will activate 3G for you.
Digi now able to make video call to digi own network using 3G video call.

actually nothing wrong with your speed. 700kbps as thier promised.
Last year Aug when i subscribe, i can get 1mpbs average. 1.3mbps max.
Untill last month i can only get max 0.8 - 0.9 mpbs, no matter what time.
So i feel already many using digi bb now. Already terminated it and move to maxis bb after testing it using my prepaid hotlink.
Actually digi still promised as thier speed at 700kpbs.
But a bit disappointed, nothing improve on the speed. Even they said 3G turbo.
Some1 said if you got faster speed, you will faster to finish your quota.
For me is not, faster speed mean i can finish my job faster. Save my time. ( depend what you do with it )

I'm using maxis bb now , 2GB @RM48. Even the quota not so much, but the speed is better than digi bb.
min can get 0.8mpbs, max can get 4mpbs. Depend on time at my house or office.

Again, it still depend where you located. Some place got good signal for certain network.
As far as i know, maxis now improved a lot. Last time, 1 year ago when i test, the web page not even loaded.

huawei is more stable and easy to detect to computer.
Never try ZTE, so no comment.

If you are using digi bb, no point to get higher spec.
Because they only give you 0.8 to 1mpbs uplink and 0.3-0.4mpbs uplink.
So 3.6 or 7.2 just for standby for future use.

Of course if you planning to get better, or maybe next time you need to move to other network,
you may try HSDPA/HSUPA modem, a bit higher price than HSDPA modem.

Now i'm using sierra modem, 7.2mb UL, 2Mb DL. spec.
Like me, last time when i use Digi bb, i tought they will provide better speed because they are on 3G turbo, which is HSPA network.
but disappointed with no improvement. Even the extreme package also discontinued, so now i use maxis.
But my sierra sometime not able to detect.

So still recommended Huawei, can try below model:

same as my problem. Sometime not able to upload. Use streamyx, celcom, maxis no problem all the time.
Time to change.
I already moved to maxis, and still stay with streamyx. At least 1 3G broadband when travel.

is that mean when you apply for digi broadband, let say RM88 ( promotion price ) 10GB free modem, after 1 year should be RM108 ( normal price ).
Now Digi charge you RM108 start from 13th month onwards? I think that is normal if Digi auto renew for you. But i know maybe some1 don't like to auto renew.
We should have a option to choose after 1 year, or prompt us sms to let us know at least.

Or your problem now is on 13th month, you want to terminate now but they ask you for the modem penalty fee? In that case thier system got problem...

btw, i terminate my RM88 at 7th month, so i need to pay balance RM15x6 = RM90 for the modem. This is what my experience.

Then another problem came out. When i terminate that time, the guy told me that the auto debit will stop immediately. It's mean i have to pay the bill manually when received the statement next month. WTF, when i received the statement and pay the bill ( 20 something only ) on next day, i reliazed that my credit card already "help"
me to pay the bill. Already called digi, they say they will return money to me within 3 month...Digi staff give me wrong info so i overpaid.
So sad i never login to check my credit card trans. feq......

yeah, should reset today...maybe digi want you to give them back the last 3 months over usage...hehe...45GB for last 3 months, mean 1 year quota already...haha...

this is not the first time i heard digi got this problem, because of this i terminate it and switch to maxis.
If you want to upload, you have to switch to EDGE/2G to upload.
But again, when you want to broswe again, you have to dc and switch back to 3G/HSPA to get better speed for broswing website.
I have done it before, it works. I think digi surely got problem on the upload issue thru 3G/HSPA, on certain website.

1. if you got 016, any digi line, see got 3G/HSDPA signal or not.
2. Check the website coverage map cover or not. If no official coverage in the map, digi will not entertain you. Maybe they still under testing.
Of course if under cover, you should complaint to digi.

i think the RM15 is for add on modem. No fees if you terminate after 1 year. Actually no contract for digi bb, even not enought 1 year, only thing you need to pay the balance of the RM15 for remaining month.

don't worry, my case is RM88 with free modem, terminate at 7 month, so i have to pay RM15x6 ( remaining 6 months ) for terminate on the spot. Paid everything, account closed. Own the modem.

so your case is after 1 year, you will own the modem, can terminate anytime....

They will not ask you to pay the outstading on the spot, after terminate, wait for the statement next month then only pay. If you hutang too much last few months, maybe you can pay month by month la. If not next time all telco not able to use, even TM, or any postpaid line, not only broadband.

yes digi stable for download/browsing but got upload problem.
What you can do is disconnect it, change the network to 2G/EDGE. Then connect it. Sure you will able to upload, any website.
I have this experience before, so i got no choice to terminate it...give me a lot of problem for upload even 10kb file.

I found this issue happen since Jan ( i terminate on March ).
Tried many places ( KL, USJ, Malacca, Kuching also same upload problem ) look like until now still no improvement. I don't know how many out there encounter this problem.
Maybe not all users, but how come huh? Starting was ok since i used it Aug 2009.

So maxis at least let me upload something. Only too little for thier quota.
