Assumptions?

The facts are right before your eyes.

Now that you've said it, I could hardly believe DiGi would hire cheap skates like this to promote their broadband services.

You're just a fresh young Yellowman fan aren't you?

Hah!
Hop 2-11 all belongs to Jaring!

So DiGi is leasing bandwidth from Jaring? I'm not surprised they chose to buy from Jaring because in terms of reliability, Jaring is the most reliable among the 3 top carrier grade isps.

Jaring is behind DiGi 3G afterall...That's good news.

I did call the CS about the coverage for Digi BB. Was told Bandar Utama does not have 3G coverage for Digi. I told the CS, why did a launch in 1U when Bandar Utama no coverage? Sad to say even AMAX and P1 does not have coverage in this area. Strange isn't it?

Stay in BU and subscribed to Digi BB.
Can confirm that certain area not covered under coverage map in BU and Kota Damansara have access to Digi 3G BB.

If i were you, I'll stop all the assumptions.
We never mind your comments here, but just don't assume... at least do bother to put in some prove/fact to back your claims.

That's why all the peoples said that TdC have lotsa 'un-utilized' fibre-optics.
If DiGi is using it, then they wouldn't call that 'un-utilized'.

yea... but definitely DiGi does not guarantee you the optimum speed you could achieve if you're out of the 'blue' area.

Un-utilized also means leasing.

How do you think DiGi connects all their base stations then? They don't own any fiber network of their own.

They do maintain their own DiGi IX gateway which subscribes to PCCW.

you could use the handphone as well, but minus the voice and SMS service.
But the speed will be slower compared to USB modems, eventhough its a HSDPA handset.

The Extreme plan which is the highest plan available for now is rated to have an average of 2mbps for download only which means any HSDPA phones should do the job pretty well. smile.gif

nop.. DiGi 3G broadband is a data only SIM.
you slot the SIM into your phone, you can browse, surfs with your phone and even convert your phone as a modem.
voice and SMS is not provisioned in the HLR for data only SIM.

DiGi's HSDPA doesn't support SMSes

Anyway, now we know discover now can get 1mbps and extreme up to 3.6mbps.

Got speed averaging @ 1mbps. I reckon it's reasonable.
TMnut is very slow in BU when connecting to overseas sites.
So using Digi sparingly.

I'm back at home now and it seems that the upload improved but the download speed isn't satisfactory as this is on the Extreme plan.
