The fastest broadband experience still belongs to wired DSL and fiber.
No arguments to that even on this shore.
I guess what he meant is home consumer level. No arguments to that even on this shore.

QUOTE(yongkailoon @ Mar 23 2009, 04:09 PM) There's already consumer fiber and ADSL2+ services available in Malaysia today in certain strategic areas.MetroFON and PenangFON some examples. Results on Speedtest.net have shown that they were able to achieve over 20mbps from homes. DiGi's 3G piggy backs on Time's fiber backbone network. How can it out beat the services from the core/main provider itself? This post has been edited by cameltoe: Mar 23 2009, 04:24 PM |

Any idea when Digi will have 3G on phone. Have been waiting for a long time to make video calls. Jelous of friends from other network who can make video calls. By the way, digi's data charges is so expensive. To get unlimited, have to take the RM 66 unlimited plan on top of the standard call package. Arghhh

Digi Edge at RM66 is not good lo..
i have twice registered with Digi and both time i have given up coz o the latency is high, about 1000ms... bad bad bad i would still prefer 384Kbps minimum.....fast enough for surfing... QUOTE(yongkailoon @ Mar 23 2009, 12:30 PM) I think the price for DiGi EDGE service is quite reasonable considering that it does not have a Fair Usage Policy so it is a true unlimited Internet connection. Added on March 23, 2009, 4:55 pmguess i have to wait if they reduce the price. i don't think they will make loss as u can see from the profit Digi every year. i am sure Digi have a very effective IT team who can efficiently managed the policy of their package. QUOTE(yongkailoon @ Mar 23 2009, 10:49 AM) I'm sure they have done enough research to determine they pricing. They have just started off and I'm sure they cannot afford to set the pricing to cheap or they might make a loss then. This post has been edited by MakNok: Mar 23 2009, 04:55 PM |

Alright alright, every1 knows that pre-launch package can go up to 7.2mbps
What we are asking is the extreme package's max speed, not prelaunch package. From the way you answered earlier, its like telling every1 the extreme package can go up to 5mbps no problems....zzzz |

DiGi's coverage within Petaling Jaya area is really strong and it is a good decision by them to start in Petaling Jaya area first.at least they do roadshow where they have coverage, different story with Celcom who is so desperate to get more customer base and they did a roadshow promoting their wireless broadband at Aeon Bukit Tinggi-test their speed and page load slow like shit, did not allow me to do speedtest............my digi edge can load faster than that |

They have to cover most areas in the Klang Valley to start off their broadband service. |
