Finally, thank you. that's what i felt Ben. I was saying to my friend that the PDRGT felt so much softer than the APDC and the rating of 72 can't be right. Even i tried his PDGT(non Roddick) today strung with 57/55 Luxilon Ace 112, it still felt soft. Also the lighter weights seem to be nice to swing as well. I think it's more forgiving in terms of the maneuverability. However he said compared to mine with Cyberblue at 55lbs, mine is definitely softer and more comfortable.
Then we switched to the APDC luxilon spin @ 55lbs.. Our arms really felt wanna jatuh. Btw surprise surprise the PDRGT seems so much easier to serve. Nice pop on the serve.



You MUST come down already to put things right here..lolx.. Else probably need to organize and see JUNebug or Chips73 can set him right or not. But as always BKT must be priority and second to none the PRC.

Btw Praetorian, meaning you would advice me to go for blackcode @ 53lbs for the apdc? or should i do it 55/53lbs ? does that mix brings much effect say i wanna string it 53 but i mix it up with a 55 on the mains ?

Actually before that let me ask, what's the benefit of setting 2 different tensions ? i ikut ikut only never really find out the reason..lol

well it's the same gauge ... just not sure what it does... according to the shop fellas the different tension is good for spins.. but i dunno what basis he is basing it on. i understand the tying of 4 knots as opposed to 2knots but not sure abt the 2 tensions thingy.

yah mine is of the same specs as yours (the bottom half) but i think under the string weight specs: our 315g is before string... UNSTRUNG 315g. at least that's what i got fr other players / sellers.. the tenniswarehouse specs are "strung weight". ours is before stringing i think coz it's printed on the racket itself and normally those printed there are actual weights meaning .. bare.. no strings. But yah i do see some variations on the specs as well. maybe another type of Asian and US specs difference.

anyways for the PDRGT i guess not just you and me but.. just now even "underworld" played with it and it felt pretty easy on the arms too.. so i guess we're not crazy after all..

However even after testing all these other rackets. i still am amazed by the RED. I was hitting half the time with Sophis on the PDRGT then we had a pause. i whipped out the O3SpeedportRED and started hitting with it. My oh my, it was like a complete load off my shoulders / arm.. was so easy to swing and producing lots of control. it was raining before and we just trying to hit middle section of the court as not to hit the puddles. It was such ease to hit to the same spot all the time esp on the forehand. I can do more than 10hits to the same spot back and forth without much difficulty. Just a no-frills racket. . Thanks Praetorian for the mention of the RED. -- anyways i'm pretty sure i'll have to buy the EXO3 Red soon. (already requested a sample racket from Prince and they will get it for me this weekend hopefully) .. But i'm pretty sure it won't run far from the predecessor.

However Don't get me wrong here, as the PDRGT too felt great with lots of power, solid and the pop on the sweetspot. But it is not an easy racket meaning you need to whack it proper with follow-thru and timing to get a good hit in ...etc.. Meaning gotta work at it pretty much to have the desired control.

anyways just got my tecnifibre blackcode 17gauge. will string it up 2molo and try...

Well i got it last night and pening thinking should i restring the APDC from the LUXILON SPIN to the Blackcode or should i change the APDC to Cyberblue and once and for all find out for a fact the stiffness of that racket compared to the PDRGT. so was in deep thoughts and dilemma at the shop and he was closing it at 9pm. was there at 830pm.. Somemore that APDC i just strung it 2weeks ago and barely hit with it. Finally shop owner also say sayang coz the tension and string cond still very good.

Finally guess what.. i wanted to get the EXO3 RED there and then coz they do sell full range Prince but somebody bought his last unit in the afternoon. So he managed to poison me and i fell for it. Got me the EXO3 Graphite 100 and strung it with blackcode instead...haha...

Go went there to buy string tapi came back with string + racket. Damnit. ( don't flame me...hehe... )

Anyways i put it @ 56/54lbs and DAMNNNNN it looks good. All BLACK + GREEN (fr head to butt of the racket). changed the grip fr leather to BLACK too.
I must say it looks strikingly HOT.

Will update you guys later whether i like the string or not later in the afternoon. i got 2 more sets of blackcode from there for spare. so will get it strung with my other rackets later on ...


bro Praetorian, i'll update you the price of the PRINCE EXO3 from the fair later..

At the request of my buddy Praetorian .. here some photos of my Exo3 Graphite 100. Looks very ganas with the black string (blackcode).. All GREEN & BLACK. the string is quite shiny .. so has a shiny black look.... LOL

I strung it at 56/54lbs. Found it to be a bit too soft for my liking. however it is a Very comfortable and easy on-d-arm string. Not stiff at all. So will have to try stringing it higher a bit next round.. prob 58/56lbs. Just had like 15-20min play with it. Felt too soft for me the tension so it's quite powerful as it's a hefty racket and with my long stroke too much power to control. So if i dun produce the stroke... straight go out. Racket head is also very easy to swing coz it can really cut thru the air very very fast. almost like no effort. Anyways overall the tecnifibre blackcode string is very nice.. (thanks for the intro Praetorian).. Spin also manyak manyak makan. lol. Coming from a 16x18 racket i think it's good already (spin potential) so i do believe if i put it on the APDC & PDRGT will produce insane spin...So Definitely better spin production compared to the Luxilon Spin & Cyberblue or any strings i've tried so far. However as for the exo3 graphite still too new & too little time to have a complete readout on it yet. ...

aiyoh i also got some pictures to post up. but sui picture. very cilaka ones. Just my luck.. shoddy quality from Prince. My graphite 100 sudah cracked.. whipped the racket out today for further testing as i only had 20min with it ytesrday. After hitting a few times.. shot a power forehand across and suddenly when inspect my racket. saw that the edge of the racket near the grommet cracked. saw a thin wavy line cutting across the "first knot" of the "start hole". u know where the stringer tied their first knot when they insert the string. was like WTF.. another racket with poor quality ? and it definitely can't be high tension as the recommended is 58+5 but i only strung it with the blackcode @ 56/54lbs.

i'll have to go back to prince 2molo and taruh them kau .. hopefully can exchange 1 to 1 .. or best yet.. upgrade to the exo3red as many stores no stock now..lolx

i'm not too worried about the warranty void as i did my stringing (luckily) from their endorsed stringer, the shop in Bangsar. Coz previously i did call up to find out abt the stringing pattern of the o3speedports & also the exo3 and i wanted to find out the professional that they certified for stringing as i've also heard of the many problems facing the prince o-port series rackets on the fragility of their products. So they were the ones who recommended me to this stringer. Also the stringer is their biggest prince dealer i think here with full range of prince products as well as using their latest PRINCE MACHINE to string. it's called the PRINCE 5000 transparent green color summore. major Fxxkup. it pays to be meticulous so thx to my "perfectionist" nature i found out all this info before i went to string up my Graphite 100. coz i tend to find amusement in doing things "right" like color coordinate the rackets etc...and taking care of them extremely well. so those who had the pleasure of buying my racket5s you wud know.. not much scratches even throughout the lifetime of the item...haha


p/s:just 2 share with you this little phrase printed on that shop's card :

" We cannot guarantee that you will win the championship .. but we surely can help you to pull strings ... "

hey bro ... yah you are right i agree that under no circumstances while playing esp for a brand new racket that even hitting sweetspot or a mishit to the frame should cause the frame to buckle and crack. as it's a new racket so yah i did mishit a few times on the frame while adjusting to it. different case lah if i hit the floor or clash with another racket or wrong stringing tension (above the specified tension.. etc. ) But if just hitting and having contact with a ball @ frame or just hitting the string area near to the outer frame perimeter... (mishit or otherwise) causes the racket to crack.. i'll definitely shy away from that brand / model.

tell me about it. sum-thong is i just strung it up with blackcode 1 day and habis already. hope prince will compensate with an equal-$$$ string. if not damn kau fxck. after such a long wait i go string it up play less than 1hour.
