I got an XBox at home. Been years didn't touch it. Still working though. Anyway, been slugging through PS3 and XBox 360 lately these days. Would love to know if there's something that can be done to the XBox besides playing games, listening to music and movies as well.

installed XBMC bcoz the Media Center is way better than 360.

Anyway, I got a PS2, an XBox and Sega MegaDrive in Ipoh. PS2 and XBox still workable. Unfortunately for my Sega Megadrive, there's a broken pin the the socket at the back of the console. (I think it's the power supply socket)

I'm not that technical as yu guys. I just leave it for entertainment purposes and not some experimenting purpose.

idk why but my modded xbox is getting me bored..maybe need to upgrade till 500gb hdd..40gb is not enuff!!!

@shaqmunak, get a 250gb or 500gb WD. Its super cheap nowadays. I just saw one myself from the recent pc fair ranging between rm250-300. Its the best media center, i have to say. Just install all your movies, musics and pictures.

do u guys know whr to buy ori Halo 2 Xbox game? i brought Xbox 1 on 2006 and free with it,but now i cannot locate it...

for the best audio, you'll have to use the optical out already...
currently my setup is optical to my AV receiver, 5.1 DTS/Dolby Digital

but playing HD files is killing it...
none of my mkv files or H.264 files are playable on my xbox
all are lagging even worst than watching slide show

@Fred, why don't you wonder around the marketplace? If I am not mistaken brother Yoroi360 is selling his HALO1&2 Original Xbox game in bundle for rm100. You could set up a deal with him.

@greyshadow, yeah man that is the only fallback. This has been discussed before due to it's hardware limitations. Back then in the early 2000s, HD weren't much of a trend and it requires high specs hardware. The xbox wasn't design in such a way. But it handles Standard Def medias very well!

Yup its hardware limits, but still way better than new Xbox 360 in term of playback format support. The only miss is USB slot .

There is a USB adapter for the xbox if you want to play medias directly from the USB thumbdrive, or whatever external hard disk that you have. It looks like this. I am pretty sure it has been phased out and is not manufactured anymore. Your best bet is to try looking for them at hardcore game shops, and expect it to be priced not less than expensive
