that's because we learnt the most from tournaments and gatherings, and this is place where we discuss what happens there, so its no surprise

Aiyo you don't play how to improve. Tell you what.. we do a crash course for you la. I will teach you the basic gameplay mechanics and Aiman will teach you Cammy-specific strategy next gathering or something. If you continue not playing we will all definitely miss your Cammy la.

You know what, this might be the only wedding that I might actually have fun attending. Usually at weddings I'll sit there making small talk to people I barely know, no fun. This has to be the first time EVER someone did a video game tournament on their wedding. This should be noted in a world record or something. Dont worry Alan I will go out of my way to make you look good smile.gif

Yeah Alan go for it. I'll be a regular. Suggestion name of the site: Shadaloo Sendirian Berhad. Or S.I.N City. Or something simple as MalaysianStreetFighters.com. There should be seperate sections for hardware discussions (console, PC requirements, gamepads, arcade stick mods), game strats (both character specific and general gameplay), local SF events (local tourney/gatherings), international SF events (EVO/SBO/ranbats), story plot, PC version skin mods, video section, artwork section and a general section for other discussions (news/sports/hobbies/new movies/the food at outpost etc). I'm all for it.

lol that's true but I can see where Alan's coming from. If say a casual gamer came to the tourney to have some fun, he probably is prepared to lose. But if some unsportsmanlike player that plays the game professionally hand the beatdown to him AND blatantly taunt him to humiliate him for his lack of skill then all the fun is lost. He'll leave with humiliation and resentment in his heart and he most likely wouldn't be coming again. I think this rule is to avoid that.

To avoid the accident you can set the taunt to (No taunt) pre-match so that easily wouldn't be an issue. Nobody will get DQ'ed.

As for strangers taunting, it does happen and it happened to a friend of mine at a tournament and he lost because of it. It may be his fault for letting it get to him but its still unsportsmanlike. Nothing good will come out of taunting. You may psyche the guy to rush in and win but at what cost? Is your win worth his humiliation and anger? All is for fun.

OK, a person who lost a game may not have that much fun, buts its much better if he isn't taunted, trust me. I lose my fair share. I see it as that guy being the better player and I'd be lying if I don't feel a little disappointed but that's it. I don't feel like I might strangle the guy to death if I'll see him in real life. That's what a taunt does.

I'm pretty sure you can even get thrown out of lariat even if it's done meaty. or someone with a reversal can at least get a trade out of it, if not beat it clean. Blocking works as you can punish the lariat also.

I never do lariats on wakeup. If I'm thinking he wont pull a reversal, I'll meaty jab him to a combo or throw him if he doesnt jump.

Oh and congrats to the winners. Can't wait to see the video. Keen vs Bigmac especially. Sigh.. another tournament missed again sad.gif I must definitely join the next one

lol soon hatred, soon. I still love my gamepad-with-used-buttons though. See how la.. i definitely need the hrap to try karathrows and plinking and stuff like that. I knew who was at the finals, alan already mentioned. Both of them are awesome, really really respect them. You can cut the tension with a knife. If it was me i would've panicked.

Who's the elf player? Very rare to see a local fuerte player other than phyurix and rawfish. He came to gathering before?

lol I dont think he needs one, his spd is magical. I was referring to using karathrows for other characters, like ryu or ken. I know I sound like i'm losing it when i say this but: I'm starting to get sick and tired of using Gief all the time.
