that's the normal duration to lock gps signal..no?

my n82 sometimes get the satelite located in juz 1 min withou a gps ^^

i notice stg
when i activate gps after a long time..it will take very long to lock the signal
after i finish using it, i off it
then mayb after few hours, i activate it again..and the signal is locked very fast

I'm just n82 user for one week(bought it last thursday). I nvr hear about the thing u said. So what u repeating is 1st time for me...

What u mean is look for the folder and see what's inside the folder. Then locate out all the files in Garmin folder and hidden all of them. After that, delete the _pAlbtn folder?

No ahem n-gage game installed... Only block breaker deluxe which free for N82. What's weird is it only include the small booklet with activation code at last page. Need download myself to play it... Another thing is. My fren also bought N82 AP but he doesn't has the book. His N-gage got no game at all.

Added on May 22, 2009, 8:43 amOh ya... Ytd got a dinner outside and tried Garmin when i'm in car. Quite fun xD Even though i nvr set a destination... Ahahaha. I just view map and it show that i'm moving on car, indicate speed and the triangle symbol moves along the road. First time use that and my feeling not bad.

I ever said that the map not very detail but i just found out it's quite detail. At least it got the main roads for some major area. But still some places are not very detail. Like kampung kampung areas.

wahhh...used for 1 weeks..then u got installed many softwares....20++...act,garmin wut vers u use bro?

e.g. Inside E:\Garmin\Apps\Symbian\BIN\S60_TTF\_PAlbTN
there are 3 sub-folders with these names
170x128
320x320
56x42

Just pick any of it, you will see the filenames inside it, e.g.
Animation_170x128.MBM
SPLASH_170x128.MBM

This will tell you the filename, go back to the root of _PAlbTN, i.e. E:\Garmin\Apps\Symbian\BIN\S60_TTF\ and you should be able to see this two files:
Animation.MBM
SPLASH.MBM


Make this two files hidden. Then delete the _PAlbTN including all the sub-folders and files.

If you take sometime to look in _PAlbTN, you will notice it is actually the different thumbnail for gallery in portrait, landscape preview.

You need to manually scroll and search through each and every sub-folder inside E:\Garmin

It not only includes images such as JPG/BMP, but others such as MBM, fonts, etc.

Er....i tried.... But under Garmin\Apps\Symbian i dun have BIN folder. I only got Prv and Res folder. Inside them are just text file. No image file at all...

I use search on windows explorer and i only found one _PAlbTN folder. In that i saw 3 folders 56x42 170x128 and 320x320. All contain BMP_56x42/170x128/320x320 files. Each of them got 16 items, all file name started with D_quehelp_...
Eg:
D_quehelp.bmp_320x320
D_quehelp_bt_searching.bmp_320x320

... Some of the thing looks like different from what u said so i dunno how to continue it... Help still needed.

Those softwares easy to find one... Mr. Google the best. I dunno my garmin version but i think it's 5.XX. I dl directly from garmin. Should be newest version. What's the version?? I dunno? Lolz

Then, hide all the D_que*.bmp in the folder. After that, delete the _PAlbTN and all its subfolders. Repeat for other subfolders inside E:\Garmin
