Hi Sky,
That's what I said in V20. Hope we're right! I thinking of increase my stake in Feb and Mar. Then, I can complete my shopping in April.

Hi Neo,
I'll complete my portfolio 2 mths ahead of you!

QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Feb 14 2009, 12:12 PM)
Some how I think our market has reached the bottom sometimes in Oct or Nov 08.

How good it could move up from here depends the effectiveness of global stimulus packages.

Till to date, as usual more on talking and still talking, and shorts of real aggressive actions by the so called  Big Economies.

And our second --- is tied to to the UMNO election soon.

Just my 2sen opinion.

I guess they can get at least 0.22 EPS.

QUOTE(aurora97 @ Feb 16 2009, 03:58 PM)
My 2 cents worth it will be for the previous year, so it should show a bit of drop in their turnover but shouldnt be much ....

as long as they don't open their mounth and start saying "the forecast for this year will be down by XX%" than gonna see a big slide. otherwise i reckon the bad result would signal time to move in and grab some cheap shares.

My rubbish stock (KAF) always got ppl want to buy 1 lot. The good news is my selling margin is high enough to cover to losses. Actually, gain RM11!!! The bad news is I don't know when I can finish selling it off (at my selling margin price)...

Hi Neo,
Of course I know lar! For me, all my minimum purchase is 5K. You're bigger fish than me, so 500 lots should be the right amount! tongue.gif
My current sell strategy is 20% profit margin. The reason is market still not picking up yet. So, go for small kill is enough. When I see sign of recovery, I'll hold my warrant until the mother share reach my selling target.

PS: this is my strategy, not a recommendation to anyone! Just a suggestion! Pls don't flame me! rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(Neo18 @ Feb 17 2009, 10:55 AM)
100 lot is RM1100 la.

50 lot is RM5500!!! althought i can afford, but since this is my first warrant. better be cautious...

I don't really got an exit strategy yet.. how does selling when RESORT mothershare touch RM2.50 sound?

good strategy?

This idea never cross my mind previously until neo told me. I personally think it is worth the risk (need to study the financial reports diligently). Need to find out more about Margin Financing before make any decision.

QUOTE(cherroy @ Feb 17 2009, 11:12 AM)
Buy reit/dividend stock with 10% dividend, then you are getting 6% with bank money.

350K mean you are getting/earning around 20K for pa, but with a high risk.

Kinda salute your bravery and risk management part.  notworthy.gif

F&N price will be droping like shit!
QUOTE(kinwawa @ Feb 19 2009, 08:51 AM)
F&N and Coca-Cola end relationship in Jan 2010
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 18 — Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd (F&N) announced today that its bottler’s and distributor’s agreements with Coca-Cola Company which are due to expire on January 26 next year will not be renewed.

In its filing to Bursa Malaysia today, F&N said the impact on profitability for the following year may be material depending on the outcome of the post-termination transition plan, if any.

The company said it will make further announcements as soon as more information becomes available.

Currently, the soft drinks division is the single largest profit contributor to the F&N group, accounting for 48 per cent of the total operating profit.

F&N said sales revenue of the Coca-Cola products amounted to RM421 million or 35 percent of the division’s revenue in the financial year 2007/2008. — Bernama

I think Coca Cola will announce something soon. They can't wait until last minute, right?
Anyone knows Coca Cola style? Do they setup their own facilities in other countries??? I think they need time to setup (unless they buy up F&N facilities). So, I think most likely they will appoint another distributor

QUOTE(aurora97 @ Feb 19 2009, 09:32 AM)
The news come out now, but the effect won't be felt during this financial year but the next financial year end 2010. So if people continue to sell now they have neglected the profits made by F&N prior using the Coca Cola brand.

I believe the share price of F&N will depreciate over a long span of time, the closer to the termination date the more severe the price will drop. For the time being it looks like its bothering on oversold.

As for future concerns...

1. Who will be the lucky one to pick up Cola's distributorship? (normally target price will appreciate significantly not to mention cola actually contributed 35% of F&N's profits)

2. Or... worse case scenario Cola will be moving in to Malaysia and setting up their own facility controling distribution and manufacturing. (this is a more likely prospect)

I know they have more than enough money to setup a plant here. But, time is a concern. Buy a land, build the plant, install machinaries, process qualifications, etc. Less than 1yr can complete? Maybe, but they need to start now! So, they should be making some announcement soon!

QUOTE(aurora97 @ Feb 19 2009, 09:56 AM)
India and china are two examples u r looking at..

the facilities r kacang putehla, i think Cola made enuf profits to setup a plant in Malaysia thats why they asked F&N to go fly kite.
