If i have an amp, how would each of them be different from each other?
*
All in all, both AD700 and SR80 are better than HD 555.

The AD700 sounds light and airy with wide soundstage, while SR80 has better bass but narrower soundstage. So with an amp, AD700 would sound more balanced and all-round, pretty much makes it a safer bet.

D2 perhaps if tight on budget. Try look around garage sales if there's anyone selling (if you prefer 2nd hand, can get around RM400+).

Do u audit the others b4 like Soundmagic PL11, JBL reference 220, and Sony IEM?
n where to find that JVC HA-FX33? thanks

I have the PL11, JBL 220, and JVC FX33 (Kramer mod) but cannot say that audited them because I am not at that level. I hope to audit them and share the experience in the future. For now, I feel PL11 is not as good as the other two in term of bass (quality, not quantity) and treble but easier to drive with FiiO5. FX33 is selling at Carrefour, Jaya Jusco and of course Amazon etc.

USD 40 is not very cheap ady, almost RM140++ if including those postage and handling fees... The SF3 is said to be bass shy, out of 10 reviews I read, it's like 7-8 of them are negative one tongue.gif

Oh..Some1's selling it to me for 20$..But nah, not gonna bite anyway..haha. I don't like non-bassy types..Seems too neutral to me..Like RE2..Not my type. hahaha..I mean it's good, but doesn't satisfy me. haha..

I'm saving up for my SR 225 and HD 580..And secret amp biggrin.gif

long time no people update this thread already..
Recently I tried Fiio E3 and I found out that E3 is more bass boost than E5..
If ur IEM is bass light, u may try that..

Yeah..Need some1 to bump it biggrin.gif

ehehe..Just got my AD700..So far not too impressed though..haha..Well, it can hold it's own against my HD555, but doesn't exactly "blow it out of water", as some headfiers might describe the rivalry between HD 555 and AD700..

E3 is good on bass, but it doesn't have that button that you can choose between flat and bass boost..
