i would rather go for KSC-75. it is priced at half of the price of PK2 and yet it could produce much better detail and clarity. go for recabled KSC-75 by PCwork. you would never regret.

Guys, is moving from bijou3 to head-direct's RE2 considered an upgrade?

High end then you can get either IE8, Westone 3/E3X , CK100, UE triple fi 10 or Shure SE530. I guess these're the top universal IEM. IE8 is nice, very satisfying indeed, furthermore you can adjust the bass accordingly. I've nvr tried HD650 so I can't comment on that one xD

Kinda unfair, considering Phonak is at least 3 times more expensive than the RE2  But yeah, surely RE2 is excellent value for money. The bass leaves a lot to be desired, but highs and mids are just lovely 

Haha, sometimes OT a bit nvm one ma. Coz I think IE8 is a very gd IEM so I'm trying to drag someone to join the IE8 league You can consider it as budget earphone in long run coz once you get those top universal IEMs, ur hunger will be eased and you will no longer spend more money for other IEMs(except for certain persons though  )

P/S: Is Bose QC2/3 a gd headphone? From the reviews, some says it's gd, others say it sounds like cheap headphone xD

I've tried RE2, and, if I may say, I was utterly disappointed with the performance.. Maybe I'm not used to the sound sig yet because I've been using KSC 75, senn HD 212 Pro and HD 555..So when I switched to a more analytical type like RE2, everything seemed neutral and flat. I didn't like it, not one bit..I prefer a bit more coloration to the sound, and defnitely more fun-sounding headphones..haha..

My friend tried it too, and didn't like it. He went on to get 1 JVC HARX700 for a great price! He's loving it now..I should've gotten 1 myself when someone on Headfi was selling for 25USD only!!!!! Damn! He didn't reply me, so i waited till next day..But the moment i checked my account, he sold it off dy. Damn...

Since you've Fiio E5, I think weak bass won't be a prob anymore. The E5 boosts up the bass a lot, at least for the Klipsch Custom-3.

I have this MDR-EX35LP (around RM70~RM80 i think) which i find the isolation and comfort is pretty good. Clarity is so-so much but bassheads won't be disappointed with the bass-level, tho it can be a little bit muddy at times.

I never tried EP630 before so dunno how they compare.

Yea, I can assure you that the JBL will outperform ur EP630, although the bass is not so strong but it's in control. Mids and highs no doubt the JBl is better than the 630, however, the weakness is that i think it's impedance is quite high so you will need to push the volume higher a bit. around 75% when I'm using it on my iPod touch.

Hmmm, I realized u're using iPod shuffle 1st gen rite? The iPod family is ady not very gd in term of SQ and yet the shuffle is said to hv the worst SQ of the iPod series. Sry to say this but it's true. Also, the bass while pairing with iPod won't be strong one even with my Sennheiser IE8, because I tried the Sennheiser IE8 on the Sony S series jus now and I did notice a huge increased in the bass.

I like PL11 (~RM60) + E5 combo for the bass. I think JVC HA-FX33 (~RM50) Kramer Mod has good trebal and bass (excellent value).

Btw, I think basshead would not appreciate PL20.

DOn't forget JBL haha. Superb nice IEM at that price, to me at least, it sounds like a Rm200++ IEM. Way better than the EP630 for sure, 830 not sure coz nvr try it xD
