i googled around. i see reviews of JBL 220 with perfect fit/seal issue of their earbuds while it is very important to feel the bass by getting a perfect fit. and yea i got a good seal with the eartips. but the bass is just isn't really strong and deep, it is in about 30 hrs of burn in.

and yes, the audio technica ckm50 is way much better in bass (it is deep~~), crisp n sweet highs. the ckm50 should be below rm200, but i doubt whether it fit most ppls ear canal due to its design, but it is definitely perfect fit for me.

Yea, no matter what IEMs you're using, a good seal is the utmost important thingy. I basically hv no issue on finding the right ear tips coz it's always the biggest ear tips that fits the most smile.gif Lucky me rclxms.gif However, I do find that when I'm using the JBL Reference 220, I'll hv to push the volume a little bit higher, around 60% of the DAP volume only when it sounds best to me cool.gif

i think two of them have different signature. the JBL 220 is more focus on midrange as compared to m100 which focus on high and low.
i find that JBL 220 is a bit lack of treble and for stronger bass i have to choose the largest earbud that i have and insert it deeply. however it sounds more natural in the vocal part than the m100. it has a better midrange than m100. the bass isn't strong but is neat and clear.
the m100 has weaker midrange and little bit too much treble compare to JBL. the high-range of m100 is doesnt sound natural, like what...err i dont noe how to describe. maybe too harsh? the bass of is strong but is somewhat a little bit bloated.

Sounds pretty much the same with SoundMagic PL20. Not easy to get a good seal with that one imo.

True. I find that some iems you really have to work at it in order to get a good seal. Others may come quite naturally.
