Schmeichel7, do u have MU 08/09 home and away kit? If got, then izzit the cutting for both are diff?
*
Yup... The 07/09 Home and 07/08 away kit has a shinier and slightly tighter cutting.. Reason is because these jerseys were meant or designed to be aerodynamic. Which is why the collars are simply like that and there is a 'wave' shaped ventilation pattern on the front of the jersey. Another thing is there is a white stripe (or red for the the away) on the back that mimics a sportscar design. Haha..

The 08/09 white away kit (which is now the 09/10 third kit) has the bricklayer design on the material, where if you flip the jersey inside out you can see lots of pimples design on the jersey surface. This is to reduce cling of the jersey from your skin and make it more breathable... More for comfortness

So both 08/09 home and away have different cutting

As I said earlier.. we've been talking too much on United jerseys only..

Here's another jerseyman review, taken from My-FJC. Enjoy:

Jerseyman's Review: 2002-2003 South Korea Home Kick Off Jersey (Fans Version)

Hahaha..

Sometimes I love ebay because when you buy something there, it turns out to be a unique jersey...

Anyway, last month.. Jerseyman bought this jersey from ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=170354434673

Was intrigued with the black nike tag near the collars when I saw the photo at the ebay sales page.... so I just bought it and this was the jersey:

user posted image
2002-2003 South Korea Home Kick Off Jersey

What makes this jersey different from the normal replica jersey?

1. The material is so similar to the material used to make rain jacket... yikess...

Imagine wearing a rain jacket with nothing inside.. (this comparison is for mens only ya..). Feel your nipples caress the surface of the jersey (hahahahaha...). Feels a bit paper like.. like the puma World Cup 2006 jerseys

2. Everything is printed on this jersey, there is no separate layer stitched on to the jersey. Only the KOREA FA, South Korean flag and nike swoosh logo is embroidered.

Even the long line that sits on the back of the jersey is printed:

user posted image

3. The sizing is Asian sizing, one unit down. If you see the collars here, it shows size 110:

user posted image

110 means 110cm and 110 is normally for Europe XL. You guys can check your nike replica jerseys and if you wear XL, it should show 110 under Korean sizing at the washing tags... But the jersey I bought here is XXL. So it is an asian sizing.

4. It uses LYCRA! Wauuuu...

Ok, enough of the nonsense.. here are close up photos of the jersey:

And finally.. funnily I found the same jersey still being sold at Subside. Here is the link: Click HERE,

I've worn it once during the LYN Futsal session 3 weeks ago. aw13, giotto and oscar7 has seen the jersey in real life.. haha..

Anyway, here's jerseyman's ratjng for this jersey:

Design: 3 out of 5 (everything printed except for 3 things only..)
Material: 3 out of 5 (the material feels like rain jacket)
Cutting: 3 out of 5 (Asian sizing.. I prefer european one)
Comfortness: 2 out of 5 (try imagine wearing a tight rain jacket with nothing on....)
Overall: 3 out of 5

Yea, nowaday fake jersey look very close to original 1. I found 1 ebay seller who selling original jersey for all clubs, the price he selling is S$55. He provide COD, so i wanna try to meet this guy and take a look on the jersey he selling. http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/Original-Manu-new-H...id=p3286.c0.m14
*
I am dubious with this seller.

1. The seller uses lots of photos taken from the internet.

2. No closeup photos of the washing tags, sizing info and price tags (especially the barcode sticker)

3. The sizing guide the seller uses:

Size (cm)
M L XL
Length
74 77 80
Sleeve Length
43 44.5 46
Sleeve Opening
24 24.5 25
Cuff
20 20.5 21
Chest Circumference
112 116 120
Waistline
78 82 86

Height
170-175 175-180 180-185

This is not accurate. You can check for yourself at kitbag or other reputable online sports stores, how the sizing measurement is....

QUOTE(nimrod2 @ Aug 19 2009, 09:38 PM)
guess safest is to buy from shops rite?

but even then, u will never know sweat.gif
*
Safest is definitely from shop la. If the shop sells fakes, you can report to nike sales's HQ.

Safest is to buy from nike boutique stores, al-ikhsan, real one or reputable stores in Singapore like at La Vanita, Premier, Weston etc etc..

And it's easier for getting a refund or exchange.

QUOTE(dragonrock @ Aug 20 2009, 12:00 AM)
I have dug up some info about him. I pretended to be a buyer and ask him for pictures as his pictures are those that can be taken from the internet. He said he did not have stock and the pictures are what I see on eBay. He is a bloody China guy.(No offence)

I dare you to meet him at a Nike/Adidas shop to check and he wanted to F me. I feel like reporting him to eBay, but I did not buy anything, so I have no grounds.
*
As I expected.......

*Please don't use the term JC for jersey, we use JC as a short form for jersey collectors. zaidizero last time teruk kene tegur from me hihi...

Just want to share, another jerseyman review.. this time on a Player Issue jersey....

Jerseyman's Review: 2006-2007 PSG Player Issue Away Jersey (Louis Vuitton Tribute Jersey)

Ever since I saw the Arsenal Home Highbury Farewell Maroon Jersey... I have to admit, maroon jerseys looks stunning.

Then I saw this jersey being used in the 2006/2007 Season by PSG:

user posted image user posted image

I know I have to grab one...

Then I saw it being sold at ebay.... and an added bonus, it was a Player Issue jersey... what am I waiting for?

So here's the photos of the jersey:

user posted image
2006-2007 PSG Player Issue Away Jersey (Louis Vuitton Tribute Jersey) XXL

This is a player issue jersey, so it has some key features that separates it from the replica version that is normally sold at retail sports stores. The key features are:

1. There is no washing tags and nike black security tag inside the jersey:

user posted image
No washing tags inside the jersey

2. There is no NIKE SPHERE DRY printed on the back of the jersey

3. On the front layer of the jersey (that has the small PSG logo patterns that is the tribute to Louis Vuitton), on the bottom half, the seams are glue bonded, not stitched as shown below:

user posted image
The seams on the front layer (on the bottom) where there are the small decorative eiffel tower logos, are heat bonded and
no stitching exists.. This is the only part where the seams are bonded (instead of stitched)

user posted image
From the front, you can see that there's no stitching on the bottom (front layer) of the jersey

4. Since there is no washing tags inside the jersey, the washing instructions are printed on to the price tag:

user posted image

Washing Instructions on the price tag

I suspect that the ebay seller who sold me this jersey got this jersey during a Nike Warehouse Sale in UK a few months back. This is the reason why suddenly there was a boom of Man United player issue jerseys being sold at ebay few weeks back. As you can see from the tag, the tag has an overlapped tag that records a discounted price:

user posted image
The original barcode sticker (that has STYLE CODE 158608 and COLOUR CODE 252) that is overlapped by the 2007/09 Man United Player Issue
Price Tag that has cheaper price.

Other features of the jersey:

The PSG crest is glued to the front, but still there is a small circle stitching around it..

XXL size

user posted image
On the back of the jersey, near the collars is this small logo

I believe this jersey was being sold by zaidizero last time... Here's my final ratings on this jersey:

Design: 4.5 out of 5 (if only it had collars like the Arsenal Maroon Home Kit.. the Louis Vuitton tribute design is awesome though)
Material: 4 out of 5 (no differences with the replica version... still has the same pimples beneath the surface)
Cutting: 4 out of 5 (player issue sizing.. a bit tight on the sleeves)
Comfortness: 3 out of 5 (if only the sleeves were a bit baggy for jerseyman)
Overall: 4 out of 5

Bonus: Want to know how much I got this jersey at ebay?

Winning price: £16.00
Shipping fee: £9.00 (Royal Mail International Signed For)
Total: £25.00 or RM148.62

2nd. nice one bro. that LV jersey! wonder why LV made the special edition for PSG. maybe his hometown? his fav club?  drool.gif
*
yoi> same to you too...
Louis Vuitton is a french fashion designer who opened a store in Paris... Now they are like a brand producing fashion designed products (http://www.louisvuitton.com) so I guess this jersey is a tribute to them. I don't really care about the history that much but because it is Maroon and it has these nice details... and it was a good price as well.... so why not.

can Jerseyman or the taikos verify if that jersey or rather patch on the Germany kit is real? cannot be PI, as the stripes would have ended before the sleeves.

anyway, i think the teams with BOH will still put the respect patch, most of these teams are with adidas and have more then enough space to put the Respect patch. for Nike or other sponsored teams, there is no restrictions.

Unless the teams that have the BOH need not have respect for the game.  whistling.gif
*
That jersey is replica version la.. Can see on the bottom of the jersey, there is the old climacool logo (on the bottom right) and the round adidas logo (on the bottom left). So it's replica version.

For the respect patch... again as what pyroboy said, it was NEVER sold officially by SportingID to the public... so your guess is as good as mine.

Yes, I too think that if the team wears the BOH patch, they still need to apply the respect patch. Maybe.. because based on the UCL rules as documented by UEFA from the pdf file: http://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Downlo...77_DOWNLOAD.pdf

QUOTE
Respect logo
19.13 The UEFA Respect logo badge must be used on the free zone of the left shirt sleeve from the first match in the play-offs onwards. UEFA will provide the
clubs concerned with sufficient badges to cover their needs (as determined by UEFA) throughout the competition.

Multiple-winner badge

19.14 Subject to a licence being granted by UEFA, multiple winners of the UEFA Champions League (three consecutive times or a minimum of five times) may
wear a multiple-winner badge on the free zone of the left shirt sleeve which should be placed above the UEFA Respect logo badge referred to in paragraph 19.13. The club must source such multiple-winner badges from the supplier(s) selected by the UEFA administration.

Respect logo must be placed on the free zone of the left shirt.

May wear a multiple-winner badge (BOH) on the free zone of the left shirt.

Must and may.. those are the key words..

This is the replica version la dude, thats why the 3 stripes ended at the sleeves  icon_rolleyes.gif Kit for example Manchester United or Arsenal or Chelsea, most likely they will put the RESPECT patch in UCL. However, it may or may not apply both RESPECT + BOH in UCL new season for team like RM, Bayern, Milan, LFC, we will see how it will goes during the competition.

Anyway, Germany kit is for real and for sure, but the patches, I have doubt too whether that is real after received the item from an ebayer  sad.gif  As my friend told me the patches looks OK, but unsure how to determine whether it is real. Both EURO and RESPECT patches, are printed at R1 shop. thanks for the help from Daud.

Guess that your search skills in ebay is not that lucky tho  whistling.gif  laugh.gif  Anyway, I bought from this seller http://stores.shop.ebay.com.my/DIY-Patches__W0QQ_armrsZ1 , nicknamed celica-921. I no longer see the EURO and RESPECT patches selling there right now. But you can find other patches there.

I dont mind sharing  icon_rolleyes.gif here is the closer look of the patch (also the inner tag of the jersey, in case if dragonrock still have doubt on my jersey), let me know if any expert can confirm if this patch is fake or real and how to determine that  rclxub.gif

That's a poor quality respect DIY patch from celica-921.

There used to be good quality patches made DIY by this ebay seller. He has so many ids (thefootballpark, theprintingroom, re-made). One good thing is that he doesn't say his patch is authentic but a non-lextra product. So we know it's not from sporting ID.

This patch to me is a bit controversial... it was never sold in the market so if people wanted it... what else can we say?

Anyway here are the photos of the respect patch sold by theprintingroom:

So the one sold previously by theprintingroom is far better than the one sold by celica-921.

I'm not promoting you guys to buy fake items.. but it's up to you, if you want to have them on your jerseys... Because this is a bit controversial... a bit different compared to buying fake jerseys vs authentic jerseys... But it's best to get the real thing IF it is made available to the public.

Actually the starball watermark is not the best point to tell it's authentic.

Just check that there is the correct blue umbro tag near the collars, correct white washing tag beneath the blue umbro tag, the sharp embroidery of the umbro logo and the 'Only United' tag on the side and the printed version on the bottom.

Fakes for this jersey during back then were extremely rare.

hi...i'm actually in bind right now.

I got 2 Bayern Munchen jersey's bought back in 2003 with the players name and numbers.

Unfortunately after a few years the numbers and names at the back started to become sticky as if its melting.

i can't wear it anymore because the numbers/name would stick to whatever i lean on - happen before to an AirAsia seat! after i got up...the back rest had a copy of the players name/number tongue.gif

Is there a way to treat this? to make it non sticky again....

thank your experts!

You can try removing the residue or stains of the glue by using:

1. Stains devil:

From the looks of the jersey, jerseyman can tell it's fake. But you need a lot to learn my young padawan. Skill comes from experience.

1. It is fake.

2. There is no such thing as 2nd original.

These fake jerseys are made by irresponsible people in Thailand/China. They imitate the designs without license and approval. There are other issues involved such as human rights where I watched a documentary in astro where the workers are treated inhumanly like animals (chained to the factory machines, poor hygiene conditions, fed like dogs with dog bowls, female workers being sold to taukes who operate this fake jersey factories). And we are supporting it if we continue to buy these kind of fakes.

It is also against the rules in this forum to sell fake stuff.

And honestly the quality is still poor. Wanna bet?
