1st...bought this old spurs shirt from ebay.it was framed previously hence there are misterious yellow lining at the shirt. can i remove this stain?

2nd...my 02/03 spurs shirt...the colour 'luntur'....how can i solved this....jersey kaki,please advice...

many thanks.cheers!

For both issues... you can try using Vanish Power o2 detergent. It is sold at a lot of malls including tesco, giant or carrefour:

user posted image

Soak the jerseys with hot water (not so hot, mix boiling water with cold water) and then add vanish power o2.

Then you need to leave it soaked for 1-2 hours or more.

Then try scrubbing it out.. unfortunately you have to brush it off but use plastic brush (not metal one)... Warning that this might cause the jerseys to have bobbles and pulls but there is no other choice.

If it still doesn't come off... there is one final option but it is not recommended.. but since the jerseys are white, you can try using clorox bleach. BUT BE EXTRA CAREFUL because it can bleach off the coloured areas such as the club crest, navy parts etc etc.. This method is super duper tricky. Not recommended but it is the last resort. I will not be held responsible if something goes wrong.

Good luck mate.

p/s: The nns for the klinsmann is incorrect.. the numbers are suppose to be for umbro spurs jerseys prior to that..

jerseyman how do use vanish to clean the SHARP sponsor on my 1 star jersey? Soak it as well for 1-2 hours? As u guys know the SHARP sponsor logo seems to absorb dirt. Thus making it dirty even after normal wash.
*
You can just try using normal detergent.. and then brush it off with a plastic brush... Brush or scrub it....

Use your left hand to stretch the areas of the SHARP sponsor.... use your left thumb and left pointing finger. Then use your right hand to brush it... assuming you are right handed... Brush it of gently by brushing the foam sponsors.. be careful not to overdo it..

hi all,

is it same to purchase Man Utd jersey from Man Utd Online Megastore & Kitbag?

actually where to purchase is more worth (i mean purchase from UK instead of local)

wanted to buy from either Online Megastore or Kitbag, but scare the size not fit then wasted, i have measured those t-shirt or Polo-T that i wear often, is about 38"...

saw the size chart from Megastore, Size S is 36"/38", dunno will it too tight for me?

Size M is 39"/41", scare too loose for me as well...

any recommendation har?

*
United Direct is actually handled by kitbag. So, actually Man Utd Online Megastore (United Direct) = Kitbag.

You can purchase either from both sites. If you are a One United member then worth buying at United Direct.

Bro.. go to al-ikhsan/nike store.. test wearing a jersey and see what size fits. The sizing is the same as the jerseys from United Direct/Kitbag.

What la weh..... as a United fan, why must you do this? Makes you look bad you know.

If you want to do this, then how about removing BECKHAM, v.NISTELROOY, HEINZE etc etc? haha..

QUOTE(Everdying @ Jun 12 2009, 01:39 PM)
just a note on stain devils now.
never use your finger to touch any part of where the solution / nn are, especially if its a light colored jersey.
it leaves some weird stain like a burnt mark that stain devil cant seem to remove, at least thats what happen with mine. maybe reacts with the minute amt of sweat/acid in the skin or something.
i bought 2 more different stain devil that removes other stuff, didnt work either on the weird stained 'burnt' mark.
now must really find a new carlsberg logo to put over.

i guess thats why the instructions says to use something to scrape it off or clean white cloth.
will try again one more time with the 2 different stain devils, this time with excess amt and see if it works.
*
Read and follow the instructions shown on the bottle.. since stain devils is a form of acid... be extra careful.

Need a help here..my fren send me a package consist jersey and other stuff to me but based from my tracking records it says Custom Hold @ Sarawak Int'l Airport PPL on 11june bocz the package is from london via dubai via sarawak and then kl...izzit the normal procedure or custom hold the package bcoz of sumthing?my fren said the package is 10kg weight..or should i call custom to ask?and he`s using BRITISH COURIER EXPRESS.
*
I've highlighted the reason why your package is being held by customs.

Since it is too heavy, it attracts the attention of the customs. You better contact the BRITISH COURIER EXPRESS and ask for the status of the package. Then contact the local customs or meet them up. Most likely you have to pay the tax first then the customs will release the package to you.

How much they tax you? Depends... you can see example of how customs taxes a purchase from kitbag from my previous post here: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...20&p=26145716&#

Good luck buddy.

p/s: To others, in future cases better not buy too much jerseys and order at one go... if it's more than 1kg, most of the time it will attract the customs...

Hey guys, is there a big difference between extra large boys (youth size) and adult S size?
And where am i suppose to start measuring the given chest size for eg 36-38"?

Thanks men
*
XL boys is 99% same size like adult S. Difference is that the club crest, makers logo (adidas or nike swoosh) and sponsors logo on the XL boys jersey is smaller than the ones on adult S.

Measurement is made from the armpit to armpit (beneath the jersey's sleeves). See the example below:

user posted image

If the measurement from armpit to armpit is 19 inches as shown above, the chest measurement is 38 inches (19 inches x 2). So the jersey size is medium (38-40 inches).

The nike goalkeeper kits are meant to be tight on the sleeves... that's normal and expected. Tight at the arm area.

But for the chest... hard to tell why.. Should be ok on the chest.

I'll be asking my sister's friend to help me buy jersey in UK so must get the correct size  biggrin.gif.
Does kitbag have a physical store? Or any reputable sports store in UK that sells Newcastle United jersey?
If not I'll have to ask my sister friend to go all the way to the club shop I suppose?
*
One way you can be safe to tell her what size you wear, is to go to any local sports store and try test wearing a football jersey. Best is to get the exact jersey you are asking your sister to buy... Once you've found the correct size, inform your sister. The sizing for replica jerseys sold here are the same as sold in UK.

Kitbag doesn't have a physical store. They are a European online sports retailer but as far as I know, they don't have any physical store.

Lots of reputable stores in UK sell Newcastle United jerseys.. You can try stores such as JJB sports..

Just ask your sister to look for the jersey at sport stores in UK if she can...

I've a man utd 94/96 home jersey and recently I've ordered a nameset (1994/1996 retro umbro nameset) from wiggysports and realone helped me with the printing...after 3 days the nameset letter's peeled off and I've brought back to realone to re-fix it..however , each time wearing it, the letters will still peel off...is there any ways to fix it ?
*
The nameset from wiggy are well known to have low quality glue. It will peel off no matter how hard you try.

Best advice is to add some fabric glue (bostik) and then iron back the nameset. How to do it?

1. Look for fabric glue like bostik (search in this thread, I already mentioned about it before)

2. Put some glue beneath the nameset that is peeling off

3. Cover the nameset with plain cloth.

4. Set iron to medium heat (2 dots) then iron on it. Then terbalikkan your jersey and then firmly press beneath the area where the glued nameset sits. Do it for 10 seconds...

This helps to strenghten the bond of the namesets.

Latest news on the new BPL 08/09 Champions badges:

user posted image user posted image

As you all might know the technology is now callsed Senscilia (not lextra) and there are new features on the new patch:

1. No more plastic protective film on the top of the badge (like the current new FIFA Club World Cup 2008 Champions Badges). One of the new features of the new technology called SensCilia is that the material is more softer compared to lextra and that previously Lextra and Lextra 3D microfiber transfers were always mounted and sent on a plastic film which was initially branded with the Lextra logo but later became clear.

2. On the surface of the gold material (look closer) there ada watermarks wordings of "PREMIER LEAGUE" printed 45 degrees diagonally on the gold surface.

QUOTE(payuz @ Jun 21 2009, 04:50 PM)
Hello Jerseyman.

I recently bought a few jerseys from the internet.

I bought a few long sleeved shirts by Nike- Celtic home 06/07 and Celtic home 08/10 both of them are without the Carling logo, both are size M. I also bought a white Nike celtic kit, European issue, from 06/07 i think, short sleeved M size. All from eBay, from trusted dealers.

My question is, why is there such a big difference although they are both m sizes between the L/S and the S/S.Clearly the L/S jerseys are far longer and wider in comparison with S/S jersey although both of them are m sizes. I feel as if i'm wearing an L size jersey when i wear the long sleeve jersey.

Is this just my feeling or is there really a big difference between S/S jerseys and the L/S ones.

Enlighten me o jerseyman.
*
Hello payuz.

There are some slight differences between short sleeves and long sleeves.. the armpit and the width of the sleeves are a bit different.

That is normal.. even for other brands as well.. there could be some differences or no difference.. I have few XXL long sleeves and it feels like wearing XXXL as well...

mudah website are known to have sellers selling authentic kits with mind blowing prices..

my advice.. as I have always said to members in this forum and other forums (lowyat.net, my-fjc and mymanutd.com) hate it or not... is to DIY (do it yourself) and search for the jersey in ebay and buy the nameset/patches yourself.. trust me it will be far cheaper.

people hate me for these kind of advices... but what else can I say?

I've found one 1999 CL utd jersey selling in the classicfootballshirts.co.uk, according to the description, its mentioned the badge are stitched...is it mean by the badge is damaged and stitched it back ?
*
Hahaha.. no la. It means that the badge is stitched on to the jersey la.

Some badges are not stitched to the jerseys (PU printed). Don't worry about the description.. but again, the price is sometimes too expensive la

*
If you pre order with GIGGS 11 EPL.. remember that the nameset will be plastic (PU) and not lextra (or it's new name Senscillia). It will of course come with the EPL champions badge but will be replica size (smaller) compared to the ones sold locally.

is it better to buy from Megastore or locally?

should i wait launch in msia jus buy or get pre-order now? sad.gif

*
It depends in certain areas..

Benefits of buying locally is that you can test wearing the jersey first to suite your size. Later after you buy the jersey if you want to return back the jersey because of issues such as defects etc etc.. it is easy... Buying locally is safer.

Sometimes there are promotions in kitbag/united direct... so the price will be cheaper there. If you manage to get 1-2 friends to join, you can reduce the shipping cost.

But buying from kitbag/united direct has it's risk... risk of being taxed and also item not arriving.... and also wrong sizing...

Overalll the safest place to buy is locally...
