yup this will do soft reset. if not working then can go hard reset *#7370#, btw dont forget to backup ur contact num.

what the? i suspect so, because my set is warranty by sapura, and i heard sapura is contract phone, so what i do other than changing product code or do you have any best ways to fix this immediately?

hiah if u follow the correct step then it safe to use. and dont worry if ur brick ur phone. Phoenix can restore back ur phone. this already test by Nokia 5800 brick users.

since there's like so many bugs on FW/phone, and Nokia is pulling back the v20, is it safe to get the phone now..?

Hhhmmm... seems that Nokia really pulled the firmware update for some reason. I can't update my fone as well. Just tried a few minutes ago, both methods: via PC Suite and the fone's updater OTA. Both methods say "No Update Available".

My fone is ori, from avaxx and having firmware v11. Bought it from Atlantis on 2nd Jan.

I have a feeling it may have something to do with complaints about the "System error" message when you first try the "Search" function and not being able to open the Dictionary application after the update without doing any workarounds such as the soft reset or having to uninstall any one app first.

i only got link tutor for brick 5800 phone. guess you can google it. smilier links proses to upgrading the firmware using Phoenix.

just uninstall nokia pc suite uisng pc suite uninstaller and then use the lateset version of phoneix

is it because of sapura set? any sapura set user who got problem to update new firmware?

That one is used to check whether there is updates based on product code right?

But if use NSU doesn't have wor...

i think for those phone that's warranty by sapura will having this problem, don't worry i already send an email to nokia for requesting solutions, think will receive their reply by tomorrow, hopefully they can unblock it for us.

There is no such thing as contract phone here in Malaysia. Even if you bought the fone from maxis under their sign up plans, the firmware is not locked to Maxis in any way. You can check this with maxis and nokia malaysia.

what the xx are nokia doing? i thought only sapura set will have this kind of problem, i think some of the avaxx or zitron may involved, but i think nokia will come out the solution shortly.

i notice that they have removed the arrow in the log call list. Now you can't go to view miss call, dialled number or received call by using the arrow.

when i use the NSU it says no latest update available. y like tat

haih like i said it example only. like my previous phone, i buy it under contract ( Vodafone, TIM-Mobile ), after changing the product code im able to update via NSU

i guess, u cannot update because of nokia itself pull out their software updates.

but for my case, i cant update my phone since yesterday.

I think having the arrow is a bit redundant. You can do the same by clicking the most left/right and it will scroll to reveal the next option, the same thing the arrow does. Makes the display less crowded too.
