Hmm not sure $1098 is for 8GB or 16GB...
Reviewer didnt mention this... I hope its 8Gb, at least price is comparable with Msia price...

Brief review on the omnia hd. Bought it from samsung shop at Suntec City. They have 2 sets only and I can't bear the wait since 2 months ago. So I "chiong"down and get it. My wait is over but comes at a price....$1098 that is. Sigh..
Pros:
- Fast, fast, fast. I owned IPhone (1st & 2nd gen) and Nokia 5800. But this fella is fast in its
processing. Apps open instantly. Movies are smooth.
- Screen is big and contrast is remarkable.
- Samsung's proprietary media player can play almost all formats except for m4kv.
- Watching movie is really a joy to behold on that omnia HD.
- Bundled with a measly 1Gb micro sd loaded by AGIS NAVFONE map and software
- Call quality good.
- Media browser is unique (tilting to scroll).
- Camera shots are good except in low light condition. But still passable for me.
Cons:
- Heavy. Bulky.
- Build quality plasticky and a fingerprint nightmare esp the back cover.
- Firmware is I8910DXIG1 - old firmware compared to updated G2 for Italy, HK, Malaysia, etc.
- So no fix to audio during high def recording (no aac).
- Music player is quite soft even at max (reminds me of IPhone first gen).
- Widgets are kinda laggy and a coupla times reboot my phone. So I disabled the widgets.
Not a big deal since I do not like samsung widgets (I had the F480, Samsung Star, Omnia
previously too).
- Very limited stuff bundled with a supposedly flagship device. No tv RCA cable as described
by GSMArena. But then it's easy to get one. Only charger, earpiece, usb data cable & CD
for PC Studio 7 (layout looks like Nokia's and does not work properly [unlike Nokia's] )
Overall I like this device.
For guys who can flash firmware, pls help me when you finally get a set. I am still a noobie. Kam-siah.
