Why'd you cycle in the rain? doh.gif
Now were less of one cyclist (were gonna miss you tongue.gif).
Anyway, get well soon. icon_rolleyes.gif

I was over at a friend's coffee shop when it rained and it was about 7:20pm at that time.. should head back soon.. I was cornering a junction when there was a sand spill that wasn't there before (must be those darn construction guys again). Wet sand on road + cornering = Slip-slip-crash.

Haha guess what when I woke up my selimut was sticking to one of my wounds xD

BTW NS saw you gapping a longkang in the vid.. I always do that too haha.

True.. mine are mostly 2-3 feet. Longkang width is usually 3-4 feet. Your camera angle doesn't let me judge the height xD

guys & girls. i just reach back.. so hows my surprise? well feel like i;m getting better wit the trail. now need to look for brakes & XT rd wit shifters. Next week i'll be alone in FRIM.
The younger kids need to understand that some trails r new to them. we learn frm our experience & we teach the younger 1 from that.

Btw. every1 had great fun. Right? Here is the pics frm today ride.. Tq to scotty & maxguy & the rest of the riders.    notworthy.gif  thumbup.gif

Alamak.. so jealous weh.. as a cripple I am so jealous at seeing such a great ride.. BTW snapshots where did you get those glasses? Got power ah? I also want haha

*
Pasang 5 different handphone alarms, play the loudest/annoying to wake up to songs you know.. how about Disturbed - Down With The Sickness, Atreyu - Ex's and Oh's, Alpa Chino - I Love Tha P*ssy, Ludacris - Get Back, The Notorious B.I.G. - Hypnotize, Paramore - Misery Business.. haha.. I memang takde kerja LOL..

if none of the above songs work.. listen to The Cardigans - Lovefool. That'll wake you up! biggrin.gif

QUOTE(TechnoDude94 @ Apr 12 2009, 06:24 PM)
Thanks for showing your sincerity.
<Gosh! I'm sounding "gay"... >
Where were you?
Yea, the girl has definitely got one of the lightest bike around.
What's "PCP"?
When did you fall, how come I didn't know about it?
I don't think you knew about it but I felt damn freaking tired after I did a 4 km tarmac sprint!
I didn't know that were gonna do more cycling @ Carnival trail, that's when I felt like sh*t.
Hey bro, next-next week can go to FRIM?
Next week I can't go to FRIM cause I've gotta attend a PMR-related seminar.
Can't really agree that disc brakes are the way to go.
Disc brakes take the most weight (combined with levers, cables, calipers, brake pads and mineral/hydraulic fluid). tongue.gif
Yea, you got new fork.
I'm jealous...
Yes, you really missed out a lot of fun things.
Bonesboy's fork (Epicon) didn't really perform very well as mentioned by "scotty" cause his fork couldn't really "compress" properly (I think).
The prognosis was that the fork was pumped to a "too-high-pressure"...
*
PCP is Putrajaya Challenge Park.. 4km tarmac sprint? You want to chase maxguy ah? LOL if got NS then no need sprint.. he is the mountain turtle going up, but the mountain elephant going down.. you don't wanna chase him downhill unless you've put on a full-face helm, body armor, neck brace, knee pads.. (inside joke).

Sure disc brakes are heavier than the V-alternative.. I remember I think it was sniper who weighted a few disc brakes including my model which is Avid Juicy 3. One can say a disc brake is heavy or what la.. but you don't really care haha.. to me it instills confidence. Before using my Commencal, my V-B's worked good in Kiara but I couldn't stay for long at a slope xD not even with Kool-Stops.

QUOTE(TechnoDude94 @ Apr 12 2009, 06:30 PM)
I felt like a girl taking drops and jumps.
Stupid bald tires and 80 mm fork that's leaking and lack of balls...
*
That's normal lah.. what you should dois train more on drops.. but I still can't tackle some in Kiara due to the unsafe feeling of the narrow trails. I can now drop up to 4 feet.. train by bouncing off kerbs.. then double steps.. then a set of 4/5 steps (like in the video of you going down steps, except GAP it!).. then you can try gapping longkangs.. then after that is beyond my expertise so you can go ask NS how he do all that cool moves haha

Deng.. I thought it's Oakley brand or something haha.. I'll need ones with power since I am wearing prescription eyeglasses (which I think you do too, TD94). Anyway I wonder if got anyone use diving goggles as DH goggles haha..

4km from KSH all the way to the crossroads, rite? That's a good workout by itself.

im really a noob in cycling. i just bought a bike from a friend and all i gotta do is change the front shock. now im looking for a good fork for road and maybe offroad a bit. my budget is around 500 or cheaper. is there any cheap air front shock?

how about this?

http://bicyclebuysell.com/view_sell.php?id=52879
*
Now that's really cheap (for a fork). It seems to be in great cond. If you'd like other users views and opinions read them here.. http://www.mtbr.com/cat/older-categories-b...55_1546crx.aspx

But it's branded MERIDA xD. Just like how my Commencal is using a Merida chainstay protector.. alot of people tell me that "Merida and Commencal wasn't meant to be together" but ah who cares? biggrin.gif

Anyway this thing nak bawak pergi Indon ah?

always welcome to join....

nolah....it aint OAKLEY....it's KING's safety glasses....hahaha...got it for RM8. lost it last sunday in KIARA.

next week where? kiara or frim? i went to Studio R today to look for the DUNLOP glasses.ran out of stock and it seems that it is RM20+ or something. hopped over to why pay more and they have some from wilson (RM 90+, interchangeable's ) and the higher end dunlop ( RM80+). gonna still get the  cheaper DUNLOP version. after all it's affordable and it protects the eyes.
*
Cheh.. anyway the higher end Dunlops/Wilson can be custom made for people who rabun mata like me? Why Pay More.. sounds familiar.. where is the shop?

Lucky you don't have a hardcore DH bike haha.. surcharges galore!

QUOTE(TechnoDude94 @ Apr 14 2009, 01:50 PM)
Yeap, but a complete bicycle is considered as over sized.
I was guessing around 11 kg.
*
I've seen an Indonesian man transport a scooter using Air Asia when I flew to Bandung in 2007 haha. It's been expertly disassembled into a (heavy) box with a wooden frame all around.. roughly 1/4 the size of a single bed. In the end the weight of the scooter is probably gonna rosakkan the conveyor belt or something, I saw them bring the box outside using two trolleys and load it into one of those baggage cars.

I dunno lah.. it's a new brand though, although I wouldn't trust my body to their frames haha.. I went to their website just now and it looks quite loaded with many diff. bikes and accessories. They also have a huge catalog in PDF format downloadable from their website.. Venzo carries some nice stuff also lah.. quite affordable if they bring in more accessories into M'sia. It's just a okay brand I guess haha. Anyway gotta sleep now, here's their webbie if you're interested..

RM400 is my own pocket money.
RM7k is if I acquire 7 As in PMR. That's a very big difference.
I'm using Truvativ FiveD, do I have the problem listed?
Oh!? So that's how you break a chain?
My friend uses a KMC Gold Chain =
I'm 165 cm and 55 kg.
Should purchase a Cateye Enduro = Longer lasting.
Maybe your not cycling hard enough?
Please don't host a ride @ FRIM on this Saturday?
I won't be able to cycle with you guys this weekend and I love FRIM.
Host a ride @ FRIM on Sunday on next week and I promise I'll join. I'm begging you bro.
Reason I don't want you to host FRIM ride this Saturday is because you'll be tired of riding @ FRIM on the next week and that's the period of which I can ride with you guys.
*
Wow.. my pocket money is RM80 haha. But that saying, sometimes I don't get pocket money at all (since my mom always pays for my stuff). 7 grand for 7A's? Schweet! I got an LG KP500 'Cookie' instead for my PMR.. biggrin.gif. My Giant is using a Truvativ FireX.. but not bothered to check up on any problems xD

I'm using a KMC chain too since my chain snapped at the Selangor MTB Challenge '09.. not sure which model 'cos it was my dad who brought it to the shop (it costed RM160 +/-)? But it ain't gold for sure. I'm 171cm and 54.5 kg.. I'd just buy a simple Cateye Velo 8 or something.. just want basic function haha. But if my geekier half gets the better of me, I'd get a wireless one like my dad.

LOL.. that's alot to ask from one person haha.. actually I sorta agree with you.. since I can't ride either, by next week I'll be able to recover fully and start riding again I guess.. damn I forgot that I don't have a single mode of transportation to FRIM! (unless I cycle there - but I sorta forgot the way =.=)

QUOTE(smokey @ Apr 16 2009, 08:17 PM)

i still rmb getting rm1 per day during school days...haih...

Haha.. now RM1 bring to school not enough bro, Roti Canai Cheese at my school already RM1.50.. mineral water sudah RM1 flat.. a bottle of Pop is RM1.30.. perhaps RM4 would do now if you always eat school food haha.
