i use shimano, so i dont know how it feels to shift sram, but.. some say it is more precise and quick but brutal compare to the more subtle shifting feel of shimano... some say la. they are also less likely to lose shift precision with dirt in the cable than shimano some say la. most people are with shimano by default because they tai kor ma, sram got their fanboys also like apple mac fans.
if shimano go to 1:1 like sram then they will have to pay the license fees.

no ur kind and my kind here la. only got riding kind here la. more than ever, we ppl need to pull together.
sigh... if the guru cannot ajar in inggeris, suruh lah ajar subjek lain, sebab sains and matematik ini penting. atau pun jangan jadi guru, dulu when they switch from teaching in english to malay, the teachers got on with it, no protest or going crazy. sigh...

if being implemented in few so-called "elite" school in KL/Selangor.. I think there will be no problem.. but i'm sure as hell with current educator quality for rural areas.. it will fail miserably. should start by producing teacher that has good command of english first and make them concentrate teaching english class with better method. science and math can wait another 5 years or so.. anyway, enough about that otherwise i'll get carried away biggrin.gif

nothing special about the trail. it just a small trail done by kampung kids who want to taste a bit of freeride experience. all this while they only get to hear it from us talking about it at kedai kopi. we just help as much as we can after work if its not raining..

First of all,i'd like to apologize to those who were offended by my words.
I didn't mean to say that like that and i didn't even know what's the actual situation. I am so sorry to all of you. BM or English is not a problem as long we understand what's everyone talking about. This is a multi-racial country somehow. Cheers!

OT a bit, IMO, the gov is kinda stupid as they listen to the adults about whether to teach in English or Malay, instead, they should seek the opinions of those who are studying/going to study m&s about the language they prefer...

c'mon, honestly, the adults might think they should teach in malay, but i can easily tell you, most students want it to be taught in English(at least in my class) as its easier to understand and absorb plus i bet once you enter college, s&m will be in english anyway, so if they teach in malay during the secondary years, they are gonna suffer a lot once they enter coll...

back on topic....

XTR/Dura-ace still uses 2:1 ratio shifting while SRAM are using 2:1 on their lower end groupos and 1:1 on their higher end groupos(X7 and above)

I'd prefer if you call me TechnoDude94 and not my real name (Adrian) as this is the "internutzz". TIA. Btw, I haven't been to Kiara "yet".
*
Okay then TechnoDude94, I agree that anything can has happen in teh Internutz. Why not? No transportation? I'm rather lonely cycling for the whole of this March, since my one and only cycling buddy has been grounded. Can't go to Kiara alone - mostly training on DJ skills at the BMX track in BU7 (Bandar Utama). Must. Learn. Bunnyhops. Hey NS, how does your friend bunnyhop so high over the motor kapcai? I can't even hop an inch from flat ground.

1:1 actuation ratio.. less ghost shifting.. and you can sell it second hand to me..lol..hahahaha..

but then.. what is the point of changing when you already have a good setup right?
*
I was watching a video on youtube comparing RD between Shimano and SRAM ..the RD move less when using SRAM as compared to Shimano...

I reckon my setup is good but 1:1 actuation is a sweetener indeed.

about the rd moves less thing, thats not coz of the 1:1 ratio, but its coz the SRAM ones have a firmer spring at that time...

now Shimano's RDs are fitted with a firmer spring especially the Saint lol...

Urm, I don't go to Kiara/FRIM for cycling cause my Dad doesn't have bike rack (top/rear). We can't fit the bikes in the car cause the Volkswagen Golf GTi is damn small and the Merc-Benz E-Class also can't fit due to width problems. I however, go to Lake Gardens, KL when my neighbor sends me there and cycles there with me but on tarmac (pavement).

it means, u pull 1cm of cable the RD/fd will move 1cm, so more direct and fast shifting feel. that is sram.
shimano, u pull 2cm of cable the rd/fd will move 1 cm, so softer feel lo. so some say...
u can tell i have been watching too much of "the stig" intros on top gear that i got off the net.

malay or not, we all malaysian ma. cakap malay can, cakap english can, rojak also can.
i support paying more for teachers who are interested in and good at teaching english! and you must get the kids talking in english barulah they all get good in it and not act like deer in front of headlights! my gen, all chinese (that i am), malays, indians and lain lain bumiputra all spoke english all thru primary and secondary school (gov aided schools), i didnt hear anyone complaining about transitioning to english in A-level and uni. lucky i guess. to escape this place and see the world you got to speak english. peace!
