QUOTE(blinky @ Feb 8 2009, 03:36 AM)
Benitez: Fernando, you are starting today.

Torres: No, sir. Sub me in on the 80th.

Benitez: But why?!?!

Torres: Trust me, 10 minutes is all I need to win it for you.

QUOTE(Playboy21 @ Feb 10 2009, 06:52 PM)
Ngog is alright. He just need to build his confidence, and he might just turn into a good striker. I've given up on Babel though. He's been given not one chance, but many chances... yet, he still disappoints me. If he just learns to work with his teammates, he can be a really good player. Great pace, good dribbling ability... but meh, selfishness.
*
Sometimes, selfishness is needed for the young backup player like him. He need to show that he can score, or at least his shootings are on target. It's important to show the manager that he deserves to be in squad more often. Imagine you are in a tryout for some football club, you sure want to show that you can shoot and score (if you are a forward). Same case for Babel. But him as a more established player in the squad, he should not show selfishness than he need too. Sometimes it can be annoying especially when he tried to beat 3 defenders that surely he can't beat while there are other players that can help him and shoots randomly and off target.

Not suit? Then how about their partnership in Spain for say, 2-3 years? And it's successful too..

What we can do now is to hope that ManC will get tired after tomorrow's UEFA Cup match against Copenhagen and get their key players injured, especially that 'wonder kiddo??!!' Robinho..

It's useless to predict who Rafa will put on the field this Sunday. He's damn unpredictable.. Just wait until the lineup list come out and we can start bashing him. And after the game, continue bashing or praise him, only this two option available.

I rather prefer we are at 2nd place for now as the pressure as the leader is tremendously big, which is proved quite unbearable by us. It's been so long before Liverpool can take challenge as champion contender while ManU was doing it every recent year. Just wait patiently, when the time comes, we will speed up, accelerate and overtake them just like they done it to Chelsea. If we can put constant pressure to them, in the end, they will lose concentration due to fear of losing. No need big club to kill them, just a lower club will surprise them more.

What we need to do now is concentrate on each game we have, by all means, win it. If we lose or draw even once, the title will be further away from us. They got quality, we got quality. I'd say we are even with them, but not better.

Van der Sar and his defense will have more and more pressure as the record is with them. Other teams should manipulate this and attack more as ManU defense can't manage to make any mistake, or should I say, afraid to make one, and this will make them more vulnerable.

I hope Rafa won't risk Gerrard for next match if he's still not fully 100% fit. We can't afford to lose him once again, especially at this critical stage of league and CL.

And I support Solstice on this, WE LIKE TO DO THINGS FROM BEHIND, don't we?

ManC and Copenhagen draws last night. From the lineup, I can tell Hughes used his best squad. So I hope the fatigue will accumulate and affect them this weekend. No early sub for protecting players means they are not afraid of us! or Hughes is very confident with his lads' fitness.

I heard Aurelio kinda always played as CM in his years in Valencia. Read it somewhere recently.. It proved Rafa loves to play players in different positions (Kuyt? Babel?)..

Hey, no one wants to talk about our beloved no.21? He just wandering around the centre circle and not trying to get the ball. And he just sitting behind a ManC player to prevent others passing the ball to him..On the bright side, we may not seeing him this midweek as Rafa subbed Masch not him.

And Babel, his appearance made nothing to the team. His always selfish attitude and 'one leg limping' style dribble disgust me.

Benayoun, once again showed a very good attitude and skills in this game. He just got unlucky today.

El Zhar, not bad on running but bad at finding/making space. His dribble also around average.

Others, good job lads.

One question though, why do we show high intensity on the first half only? and at the very last minutes of the game? I've been observing and it's like that for almost every match.

Someone said, theoretically we lose the title. I agree on this.

But realistically, we're still in the title race. 7 points is big but until the end, we must fight for it.

When I looked on LaLiga table, I always said that Barca is definitely going to win the league this season, with that big gap.

So am I going to say the same for United? HELL NO!!! I got faith but it may be shattered at season end..

give that kid a little time, his confidence has been on an all time low n with rafa not favouring him after spending a significant amount for a player so highly rated back in his homeland

Real: 9 win in a row.
We: draw king.

I remembered when we talk about this in December. We were at the best and they were at the worst. And now, it's opposite. God can be funny.

My prediction on Rafa's mind, we come to get a draw and win them at Anfield. But things might won't work that way..
