EDIT: Forgot is there morale in DoW2. Id like to see an enemy unit break when laying suppressive fire and arty with me whirlwind. Then send em Terminators to finish of the leftovers biggrin.gif.
*
I think there arent any morale system in DoW2,or it's unlike the system in CoH and DoW.

Units just get instantly suppressed now,as opposed to the old system where units dont just break immediately.

DoW2 Beta Coming to a Close.

QUOTE
“On February 18th, 12:01am GMT, the Beta will officially come to an end. We would like to thank everyone for participating in Relic’s most successful Beta ever. Together we’ve identified and fixed a tremendous number of bugs and balance tweaks that will make the game considerably better when it ships to stores this week. We literally couldn’t have done it without you.

Throughout the Beta, we have been tracking in-game statistics to help guide future development and patches. The stats themselves are a couple of weeks old, but we thought it would still be fun to show some of the more interesting statistics.” More...

Have fun with the retail version of DoW2 then.

I dont think i'll be posting here much anymore. It is done.

Yea totaly agree with you on the OPnss of games in australia....I don't knw wht thier games have (maybe diamonds or gold pieces inside thier cases) but they are quite up there...However having lived there for almost 5 years prior to moving back hasn't stop me from shopping for games (you just have to know the right people and also right stores to go to...)

Small tip for those who are going back.....*Don't shop for games @ EB* They are the worse pricing sellers in Australia....Only buy from them if any other stores are sold out completely and you can't wait anymore or...if they have some kind of deal which you gain from buying there...

Look into JB they are must cheaper and also service is better (cause they aren't stress like ppl @ EB...if you see those EB sales ppl they all look like Jehova witness ppl >_<)

*
Thanks,i'll find my games at JB next time.Is there anywhere else i can get cheaper ori games in Aus?

I got my copy of Sins of Solar Empire from EB for RM210. doh.gif

Never want to buy from EB again, unless got sales.

QUOTE(Waba @ Feb 19 2009, 04:29 PM)
And DOW2 being needing 2 online services to function (any one can confirm this with retail version?) on multi player is gonna be hit hard, a main concern of a lot of veterans here.
*
It's confirmed in retail version. You need both of them.

QUOTE(paanjang16 @ Feb 19 2009, 07:36 PM)

You can either get other stuff on Ebay.au or try Toys r us

sometimes toys have those bargin bin deals...the box they drop inside there look like crap
but the game still wrks n its dam cheap(somtimes 10$, if you go to eb n tell them to price compare they will commite suicide infrnt of you lol, if they dey say they cannot do it cause its 2 crzy...worse of all they hate jb cause jb has by far the cheapest so they alwyz lose in comparing price...)

Other than that don't buy them in Aus...get them in Mas cheaper than aus...
*
I got no choice some times, like Sins is not sold in Malaysia until mid of 2008.Places like TSB have very limited stock. If not,i dont want to get my games there.

I might end up getting DoW2 there too.

Game breaking bug detected for MP, the population cap did not go down acturately when your units are killed, eventually you will be pop caped while only having a few units later ingame, I found it out on my first 1v1(tho still won, lol), do take note for those who is going for MP, let's see how fast relic will fix this.
*
Same old Relic.

I say go for empire total war if you want to play more single player or grans strategy+ civiliastion type game, or play the grand campaign with your friends. If you want to play for multiplayer 2 v 2 or 3 v 3 action more than this is the game for you, but be warned of the bugs crappy promises and lousyly short single player campaign. You can wait and try out the ETW demo thats comming out tomorrow morning 12 am yes 21st of February 12 am on steam.
*
The problem is,i dont really like the setting of ETW.I prefer modern or sci fi games.

Thats the only problem.

CC fails too.

Things like crashing pirated version L4D or they never update their games.I hate to go CC sometimes.

This kinda sux.I thought GFWL was ok in the beta, why is it a problem now?

And Cheese: with me that's at least 2 people for who DOW2 works without bug or crashes so far, Steam is crap (but mostly due to our shitty tmnet) but at least the game is stable here. I play on an Dell Inspiron 9400 (so very far from a powerhouse laptop)
*
Thats good.

I didnt have much problem with Steam or GFWL,other than annoying Steam authentication part.

If im not wrong, Steam doesn't do the multiplayer (matchmaking), GFWL its the one does the matchmaking too like GameSpy used to.

Cheers biggrin.gif

Honestly,i find Steam is a nuisance in the beta.Combine with GFWL,it's nightmare.
